Why You Should Start "The Office"

Have you ever had the world's worst boss? Have you ever had a co-worker who was totally annoying? Has corporate ever come up with a new policy that you didn't want to follow? Do you have an office job? Do you love to laugh when you watch TV? If you answered yes to any of those questions you will love the show "The Office."

"The Office" is a show about corporate life at a paper company. The show is set in Scranton, PA and takes place at Dunder Mifflin Paper Company. The show is very fun to watch because it is filmed in a fake reality show format. The characters talk to the TV camera as they would in a reality TV show and it creates some very funny moments.

The show is so great because of the variety of characters in it! There is Jim, who is considered the nice, funny guy who is married to Pam, the woman who was the former secretary. They make for a cute couple and their antics are always fun to watch. There is Michael Scott, the obnoxious boss who you can't help but feel sorry for. Dwight is a personal favorite of mine; the nerdy know it all salesmen. There is Andy who is a bit of a preppy snob and Angela the uptight accountant. There are a few oddball characters too, like Meredith the office drunk and Creed who is just downright strange!

"The Office" covers all of the dreaded things you encounter in corporate life. They have featured corporate buyouts, sales wars, and corporate policy changes that have made me roar with laughter. They have also covered the lighter side of working in an office like parking space problems, bats in the office, and much more. Some of my favorite episodes have been about the office parties, holiday gift exchanges and the fun run episode. The show even works in personal stories about the characters like marriages, births and relationships. The writers of the show find a way to take the mundane things that happen in an office and make them hilarious!

One of the things I love most about the office is that it is a half an hour in length. It doesn't take hours of your time to watch it. There are no mind games, plot twists or secrets. It is just lighthearted and fun to watch. At the end of a stressful workday, it's about all I feel like watching on TV!
