Every year millions of people wake up early the day after Thanksgiving, better known as 'Black Friday.' They face the world in quest for big deals and to get the head start on lots of shopping. Black Friday though is highly overrated. Here are some great reasons to stay home this 'Black Friday.'

You will avoid the crowd. The day after Thanksgiving will be full of crowed highways, parking lots and stores. It seems as if almost everyone makes their way out to go shopping on this day. Staying at home on black Friday, you will avoid these crowds. Avoiding the crowd means avoiding rude and cranky customers and salespeople. Who wants to start the Christmas season out by standing in a long line or waiting a long time to get some assistance. Stay at home and avoid all of this frustration.

Do you really need a new dvd player. Every year when you watch television or look in the newspapers you hear about the great low price on some new dvd player or radio. The truth is most people have the items that are already on sale. The only reason to even go out early on this day is if you see something specific that is on sale at a price you can't get at any other time. Most of your Christmas purchases will not fall into this category. You will be able to find the items you want some other day when it is less crowded out.

You can avoid the crowd by going out early the next day. Why not wait until the next morning to go out. So many people will get up early the day after Thanksgiving, that the next day will be very slow. Get up on this day early and shop in peace. Avoid the crazy lines and the long search for a parking space. You will probably save tons of time and enjoy the experience so much more.

You can enjoy your Holiday. Black Friday is a day off for most people. Do you really want to spend this day battling a crowd all day. Sleep in on Black Friday. Get up and spend the day with your family at home. Or even better just relax. Get the much needed rest you need and deserve. This will be so much more rewarding than a day of shopping.
