Life goes on. When something unfortunate occurs, you have to move on, no matter how bad it seems.
There is a saying that goes: "When one door closes, another one opens." The loss of your job could be your grand opportunity to find a better one.
It is unhealthy. Going through life stressed out is not good for your health.
You have more pressing things to worry about. One is that you have to focus on living under your means and cutting back on spending. If you have been living extravagantly, it is time to start getting unused to it.
Surely you have others in your life. They might be able and willing to provide any financial or emotional support you need.
It might be the escape you were looking for. Did you experience misery or were you treated like dirt by your supervisors? If so, you should really relish your time off. After all, having your sense of dignity restored should mean more than holding onto a lousy job.
Your family needs you, assuming you have one. Now that you are idle, you have more time to spend with them. Besides, carrying emotional baggage will probably inflict a strain on them.
It could hinder your job search performance. The more unsettled you are, the less likely you are to interview well. The more you are able to think clearly, the better you will be able to prepare.
It might harm your relationships. There is a chance you will drive away those close to you by becoming too much of a pain to be around.
It is binding on you to have a good perspective. Instead of feeling sorry for yourself or thinking you are at fault, you can say to yourself, "I lost my job but this is not the end of the world. I will get through this okay, no matter how tough the economy might be."
It can hurt your ability to be happy and laugh, which is what you need to do to heal. As they say, "Laughter is the best medicine."
You must make the most of any situation you encounter. As they say, "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade."
Keep in mind what you have learned to avoid letting the loss of your job stress you out!
