* Besides helping to save the environment, synthetic oils can save you money. Even though petroleum oils may cost less per quart at the time, the simple fact that you change synthetic oils eight times less is a savings. In addition, you also have better performance and fuel economy with synthetic oils. Motorists are finding that on a per mile basis, synthetic oils are less expensive than petroleum oils.

* Some vehicle owners are afraid that by using synthetic oils they might void their warranties. That really is not true. Some manufacturers actually recommend synthetic oils be used in their engines. In fact, some manufacturers require the use of synthetic oils to keep their warranties valid.

* Along with synthetic oils, you can also use synthetic grease, gear lubes, transmission fluids, and two cycle engine oils. Racers are reporting that by using synthetic lubricants throughout the drive train, they are experiencing increased horsepower. For vehicles that are used for towing boats, campers, etc, synthetic transmission fluid is recommended.
