It is not news to anyone right now that the "Latest Darling" of the moment in celebrity land is Hannah Montana, or Mile Cyrus in real life. But why is this teen girl so darn popular that her concert tickets are hotter than hot right now? Here are my reasons why Hannah Montana is so popular with girls everywhere right now.

Hannah Montana is a Disney Show

This means major promotion by Disney. Major promotion by Disney is a good thing. Miley Cyrus is the star of the hit Disney show. Her songs are promoted in the show and even during commercials. Being a cute teenage girl and being promoted by Disney is a good thing indeed.

Solid Basic Plotline

Disney is smart. Disney knows how to draw in younger viewers with plots that invove the major character keeping something secret. Just like in "Superman", "I Dream Of Jeannie", and "Bewitched", Hannah is keeping a part of her life a secret. Girls can relate to her clumsy and normal teen persona, and then visualize the "fantasy" of being a secret pop star just like Hannah. Preteens fantasy personified!

Physical Comedy

The characters do things that make their viewers laugh. Physical comedy is very appealing and keeps viewers happy and wanting to laugh more. Disney does know what makes people laugh.

Hannah's Song Choices

Hannah's song choices are simple and catchy. The song lyrics are never offensive to parents. Engaging upbeat songs are always good for shows that parents may be monitoring with their kids.

Episodes with Morals

Parents love it when a show their child or young teen is watching is simple with good messages involved. Hannah Montana episodes usually will come attached with a moral involved. In the thirty minutes the show is on, a lesson will usually be taught in a cute and humorous way.

Billy Ray Cyrus

It doesn't hurt to have your real Dad on your show! Billy Ray Cyrus is, of course, Miley Cyrus' Dad in real life and on the show. My daughter loves that connection. The only way she knows of Billy Ray is from watching Dancing With The Stars last season. But she loves that he is really Hannah's Dad in real life and on the show. My guess is that other young girls like that connection as well.

Hannah Montana is a popular show, and a very popular character. She personifies fantasy while still relating with teen angst. Hannah is cute, can sing, is a star, has a hidden secret life, and is friendly and very good- hearted. What is not to like? Preteens girls love Hannah, aka Miley Cyrus, and with pretty good reason, it seems.
