Why Do Think You Spouses Stray?

There are numerous reasons why spouses stray in a marriage. A person has to look at the foundation of the relationship before the marriage. Some women get married with hopes that the marriage will solve any problems that were going on prior to the marriage. For example, a woman that accepts a proposal from her boyfriend after he cheated on her. Many times men will propose to a woman to stop the woman from leaving or to prove his love. Some women will actually take this as a token that the man has change or that the man really love them. So when a couple enter a relationship where one of the spouses is not really committed to the relationship then it's really easy for them to stray.

Many couples are not communicating their history, likes/dislikes, needs/wants, and expectations. I feel that if a person is in a relationship and afraid to ask their spouse questions then this is the wrong mate. Many women do not know their partners sexual history and still engage in unprotective sex. Communication affects a relationship because one person in the relationship always feels their needs are not being met. Women have a really big problem with communication because women expect men to be able to read their minds. Marriage couples need to communicate their feelings with their partner so that the marriage will strive. Some of the reasons that cause a spouse to stray: problems before marriage, communication, work problems, stress, family problems, kids, not enough time, aging, and some people cheat just because.

Sometimes there are warning signs and others time the spouse never saw it coming. Some of the warning signs are working late, no communication, change in appearance, going out with friends more and no physical contact. Also, I think that too much responsibility at an early age is hard on some couples. For example, I have a friend that had four kids and was married by the age of 21. The marriage didn't last because they didn't realize how much work it was to raise children. Also, they wanted to be hanging and having fun like people their age. I really think it's possible to have an affair proof marriage but it takes hard work. I know sometimes things get in the way or time changes but I still have hope. I feel that a person must have respect in their relationship and that will make a marriage endure the rough times.
