Why the United States Will Attack Iran
Former Military Doctor Comes Public Regarding Military Abuse of Troops
Well, this time my question refers to if it's imminent an attack by the American army on Irani soil. I definitely think it is. It will take a while because like the other invasions, the government prepares the ground first.
Let's take a look at Iraq. Iraq was a country weakened by the wars with Iran, Kuwait and the 1991 Gulf War. It was weakened politically, economically and militarly. On top of that we add the economic sanctions, which tormented even more the population. All these simply prepared the way for the invasion we saw in 2003.
The 2003 invasion is one of a chain of invasions already scheduled by the neocons in their plan to control the energy sources in the planet. The following up is Iran. The same way Iraq was prepared, so is Iran. The United States paves the road with the intervention of the U.N. again with sanctions to weaken the Iranians. The sanctions will begin eroding the economy, society and the spirit of the Iranian population, just as it did with Iraq. Who would have thought that many Iraqis would applaud the invasion of the U.S Army to replace Saddam Hussein, if the muslims are and have always been protectors of their land.
The invasion of Iran has been slowed only by the amazing failure of the campaign in Iraq. Instead of proceeding with the invasion of the persians, the U.S Army had to remain in Iraq, to fight the proud Iraqis and later, guerrillas and armed groups which arose after it was clear for them that the Americans were there to stay.
Now, when Bush's army is shorthanded and tired of fighting a very disciplined and ruthless insurgency, the plans to advance to Iran are emerginf from Dick Cheney's drawers. It is only a matter of time, the time the neocons already scheduled to initiate the offense for the control of at least 30 percent of the reserves of natural gas in the world and some 60 percent of the reserves of crude oil.
If by now you are still with me, and haven't found my essay outrageous, I invite you to continue with me. In the not too far future the offensive will escalate to Syria, but that will take a bit. It will take the recovery of the Armed Forces and a new re-deployment. I hope this is not the re-deployment John Kerry and John Murtha are talking about.
The reason why the United States suddenly initiated this rough offensive in the Middle East, is because it wants to guarantee itself with the most important energy resources in the planet and at the same time, establish itself in the region once and for all. With bases in Israel, Iraq and Iran, and friendly governments like Saudi Arabia around those bases, the prominent unique power in the world, wants to control other emerging powers or groups of countries which form blocks to create policy for mutual benefit; for example the E.U, Mercosur, etc.
It is not a secret to anyone that the rise of China as a commercial competitor and Rusia as a fairly democratic nation; Venezuela's nationalization of oil and in general the turn to Socialism in Latin America, undermined American supremacy in the world, and former friendly countries like France, Germany and Italy, now have a mind of their own and protect their interests minding not what the United States wants. Proof of that was the disconection and the poor support the Americans had when invading Iraq. Only Great Britain and a few "banana republics" gave their complete support for the war. (Many of those small countries would later retire their support due to the illegality of the war).
So what do you do when the world isolates you? You buy, borrow and steal the resources everybody needs to live and operate, so you can impose the conditions of commerce and social policy around the world. It is the only way to maintain itself as the only superpower. So, the offensives created by the neocons in the 1990's are part of a plan of massive dominion that would guarantee the United States everlasting supremacy. If you don't believe it, why would a country sacrifice the blood of its sons and daughters in a war that had no head or legs? The United States simply and plainly lost the commercial and social battle with the world. Once a unique power in Education and Industry, it found itself far away from the first places in Elementary and High School education, compared with European countries as well as Japan. It found itself exporting their companies to India, China, Singapore and Malaysia.
Soon, not only will America succumb to foreign competition but also disgraced its people, exporting its industry to countries in Asia and Latin America and destroying its middle class. Now, 44 + million people lack health care, and unemployment rates stay put at best.
Unfortunately for the neocons their plan failed. It failed in Iraq and also fails everyday because the world now knows what the neocons are up to. As long as neocons are in power we can expect war, blood shed and lies. Today, President Bush tried to boost his failed policies and at the same time prepared the country, the world and seasoned the Fall elections by saying that more attacks on U.S soil are expected.

If you`re a doctor somewhere along the line you should have taken grammar-English.
Article was full of "NeoLib" or middle-eastern bias. Where are the facts to back up
such outrageous statements?
By the way, the democrats "new" healthcare proposal is nothing new. Middleclass will still be the ones paying. It won`t matter to the rich and the poor are not paying now.
Read about the Project for a New American Century (especially 'Rebuilding American's Defenses) - you can see that the invasion of Iraq, etc. is part of a plan to destabilize the Middle East...this plan was written about in '97 and 2000.
Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, Perle are all members of PNAC...interestingly enough, some of their financial interests have done very well due to all of this military action.
Personally I think the smartest foreign policy for the U.S. would be to stop intervening in foreign country's business and allow the free market to develop strong international trading relationships.
After all, this was the advice of our founding fathers...
Good article...and chris, you give bush far to much credit...
so it has nothing to with the fact that every President since Eisenhower has tried to solve the Mideast crisis and that if you are the one who does solve it, you go down in history? Presidents have libraries for a reason, they are mindful of their place in history. I think Bush thought, like the ten before him that he had the perfect plan.
