Why You Need to Upgrade Your Computer's Graphics Chip Today!
With Some of the New PC Software Games Coming Out This Xmas, You Need to Upgrade
If you happen to have a PC that is running on an Intel INTC with an under-performing graphics chip from two years ago, you will never be able to enjoy the crystal clear lake bed in the latest version of the Sims 2, or any other great game that is coming out this year. The myriad amounts of graphic beauty such as that shiny lake water will only look like a blue blur unless your PC is equipped with a graphic powerhouse chip such as ATI or Nvida.
Why these two brands over all others? AMD (Advanced Micro Devices) is striking out against INTEL and is trying to make a bid for themselves as THE best chip maker in Silicon Valley. Their fierce competitiveness will work for you because they have spent years developing a new chip architecture that is proving to be the break-through in chip design that everybody has been hoping for.
AMD VERSUS INTEL: WHICH ONE WINS?
The latest Intel model PC runs for around $800 retail and includes a G965 Express graphics chip. While this is a very fast graphics processor, which is good for Microsoft Office and other applications, Intel also offers the same PC with an ATI Radeon Xpress processor. The ATI processor works good for all of the same applications that the G965 Express chip can handle, but the ATI chip processes graphics from the latest games like no other chip out there.
If you are a true gamer and need to see all of the upcoming games with the highest degree of resolution possible, you cannot go wrong by purchasing a high-end PC with an ATI Radeon Xpress processor chip included in the motherboard. If you want to go a cheaper route with a notebook, an Intel laptop with a G965 Express chip in the hardware will run the latest games, but you will not be able to see the crystal clean images in the lake bed in a games such as the Sims 2, or the vast graphical power of a game like Unreal Tournament 3.
HOW GREAT DOES YOUR GAME NEED TO LOOK?
All game developers try to include the ability for the game software to look for the best possible performance based on the hardware architecture that your computer is running on. A good example of this benefit would be for you to over the game software in the Sims 2 by turning off the reflections in that game if you have the G965 chip in your PC. The downside to doing this would be the fact that the images will not look so good anymore and the game's performance will slow down greatly.
If you are intending to purchase a notebook and you need a long-lasting battery life, stick with the G965 Express. But if you really need a great graphics performance with a new PC, seek out the best deal on a PC that includes either an ATI or NVIDA graphics chip in the hardware. A good way to make sure a system works for you is to visit a Circuit City store and run a game demo on the PC you are interested in.
If it looks great to you, then purchase it pronto!
