Why was Britney Spears Hospitalized for a Second Time?

The Answer May Come as a Surprise

With Britney Spears recent hospitalization earlier this month, it seems as though another trip to the hospital may not have occurred this soon, however, last night she was again taken to the hospital. While last time it was Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, today she is receiving care at the UCLA Medical Center. Speculation as to why Britney was taken has ranged from a planned intervention from friends, family, and her physician, to her acting erratically that night, and other events. Many sites are reporting that she was taken to the hospital because she had gone longer than three days without any sleep. Some reports even have Britney as being without sleep since Saturday. If this is the case, Britney, along with any other human being, is/would be suffering from a severe case of exhaustion.

Another aspect of Britney's recent hospitalization is the extensive motorcade that was used for her transport to the UCLA Medical Center. While some have a hard time trying to guess why there were so many police officers involved, I believe it was to protect Britney's privacy so she could be transported respectfully to the hospital without the fear of photographers driving erratically and running in all directions to try to get a shot of her in the ambulance, like her previous transport earlier this month. Also, the time of day may have been a factor, as later in the night roads tend to be less occupied, and traffic would not be as disrupted than during daytime hours.

If it is true that Britney has not slept for many days now, I hope that she gets the rest that she needs. Lately, to me personally, she has been looking rather tired this past week, and when she was photographed a few nights ago crying, well, when I am exhausted I tend to cry too. Also, her body language (head down when usually photographed upright and eyes that looked different) may have been an indicator that Britney was suffering from severe exhaustion.

Finally, this article is written to be respectful to any condition that Britney may be experiencing. While it is human curiosity to want to know about others, if someone is genuinely sick and needs space to heal, I can respect that and only wish Britney well on her road to recovery.
