If you are looking for a night of comic debauchery and just plain fun, you should watch "Two and a Half Men." CBS first aired this successful half hour comedy show on September 22, 2003. Unapologetically funny, "Two and a Half Men" is full of good writing, relatable situations and a small cast of permanent characters as well as some gorgeous special guests. Get to know the cast of the show and settle down on Monday night at 9 pm ET to watch the continuing comic saga unfold.

Charlie Harper

Jingle writer Charlie Harper, (played by Charlie Sheen) lives an MTV lifestyle in his Malibu beach house. Every week, Charlie Harper repeats his role as a lovable Lothario who struggles with commitment and considers himself something of a "playboy." The occasional visit from his self-centered mother, homeless brother and lovable nephew interrupts his hedonistic lifestyle. When you live in Charlie's world, you are likely to see pretty girls, casual sex, heavy drinking and weekends in Vegas. Fans of Sheen who are familiar with the scandalous details of his real love life cannot help but watch the surreal comedy/drama unfold in a weird sort of parallel dimension known as "Two and a Half Men."

Alan Harper

Alan is the guy everyone knows. Jon Cryer as Alan Harper is believable and annoying yet you can't help but wish him the best. Jealous of his free-spirited brother Charlie, Alan makes awkward and hilarious attempts at love and life. Although the audience rarely sees any "karmic justice" for Charlie's bad behavior, Alan never misses paying the price for his mistakes. Alan's mishaps make "Two and a Half Men" a must watch CBS comedy show.

Jake Harper

Young, impressionable Jake Harper is Alan's son who spends weekends with him at Charlie's beach house. Always hungry this endearing underachiever gets to see the tandem lives of his father, Alan and his Uncle Charlie first hand. As Jake grows from boy to young man, we see him evolve from hapless innocent to a combination of the two leading characters. The young Angus T. Jones plays Jake Harper.

Supporting Characters

Charlie's overbearing maid Berta is played by Conchata Ferrell. Marin Hinkle, plays Alan's first wife Judith; April Michelle Bowlby plays his second ex-wife. Charlie has a hilarious stalker named Rose played by Melanie Lynskey. The Harper boys' mother, Evelyn Harper shows up every few episodes to demean her sons in a comical sort of way.

"Two and a Half Men" entertains viewers with its fast moving story lines, situation comedy and tongue-in-cheek jokes. You can't help but live vicariously through Charlie Harper while quietly hoping Alan will catch up. Watching this show is a good way to spend a Monday night.

You may need an update to this article. Hard to see how the show will make it without Charlie. They will eventually have to bring Sheen back or cancel.
