Why Do We Exist?

Are We Part of a Bigger Picture?

Kevin Lamb
The theory of our existence is one which has baffled the minds of mankind since its creation. Is this the end of everything we know when we pass from this world? Do we evolve and go somewhere else when we die, and why do we exist? These are just some of the questions which race through our minds on a daily basis. The answer to all of these questions evolves around the eternal soul.

Every since the movement of God and light was created on this dimension, mankind has grown and evolved to where it is today. Each being which has ever existed plays a big part in the never ending development of the soul.

The Third Dimension

Our existence on this dimension is all about what we chose to experience on this world. We incarnate on this world with "life themes" that we have chosen for ourselves to overcome and learn from. Each dimension has its own particular levels of learning for us to experience. This dimension had been called "the wastelands," a rehabilitation dimension for those who choose it.

Living with negativity is something which is almost impossible to do for some, while others seem to flourish in its shadow. Our third dimensional ego plays a big part in our learning and growth that we experience on this dimension. The ego is also a tool which we need to survive, but an over reactive ego is one which can rule our mind.

An over active ego can keep most minds living in the past with your failures, or worrying about what may happen in the future. These negative thoughts sometimes rule the mind as we go on with our daily existence. Just getting past this third dimensional existence is one which could take several lifetimes to achieve.

Levels of Existence

Each existence we experience is a step in our soul's evolution. Every level of existence teaches valuable lessons which can only be taught on that particular dimension. Every soul picks out lessons in each lifetime which are to be overcome for our spiritual growth.

These lessons are like stepping stones as we make our way across the treacherous stream of life. The whole trick is to not miss any of these stones on our journey, and to remain in the middle of the stream. Every time we lose our balance we are swept into the stream of life and are drawn into one bank or the other. Then we begin the journey all over again.

Part of our existence is about the "experiencing of God." We are all part of God and what we experience God experiences. This is partly why we were created in the first place; to experience and then to evolve back into the spirit form of God. Some souls get caught in the river of life, and keep repeating each lifetime until they have overcome what they chose to experience on that dimension.

Ascension of the Soul

While we're in human form we exist with our conscious mind. Our "higher self" resides in the after life waiting for us to return to reunite with it after our incarnations in each lifetime. If we had remembered all which we learned in each lifetime, our lives would be overshadowed by these thoughts and "this" existence would be needless. We come into this world as a free thinking and innocent child. What we do in this lifetime depends were we go after this life.

Each existence we experience is like a long staircase with lifetimes of steps to climb along the way. If we miss a step on the way this step may have to be repeated. But, this is always of our choosing. Along with our higher self we chose (between incarnations) what we are to experience and learn in each lifetime. As we ascend the staircase we evolve spiritually and grow closer and closer to God along the way.

If we choose, after our soul has experienced what it had set out to experience, we merge into the spirit of God. All of this is our choice if we merge with God in the end, or we continue to experience and grow in the never-ending consciousness of God.
