Why We Need Fruit Each Day

Eating food is a major part of our days, but with this fast pace world that we live in we don't get enough time in the day to think about the food we really need in our daily diet. One of our main food groups which is fruit and vegetables is one of the main food groups and most of us neglect. Fruits are very tasty and filled with good carbohydrates and very low or mostly no fat at all not to mention low soduim or no soduim. Fruits will carve your appetite and cease your sugar cravings. Fruits will also give you that boosted energy that most sugary snacks give you, but the difference is the sugary snack is bad for you filled with lots of sugar and other items as well as high in calories and the fruit is the exact opposite.

Studies have shown that Americans are still not eating enough fruits daily and should increase the intake of fruit in your diet because it helps your body runs properly and will cause less health issues. If you can have a diet that is high in fruits then you will decrease your chances of having diabetes, cancer, and even decrease your chances from having heart disease. Eating fruits will successfully help with controlling your weight or boost your body into losing weight because fruits tends to make your body feel fuller longer and this will decrease your calorie intake because you want be consuming large portions of food.

If you eat a variety of fruits you will be getting something beneficial from each fruit that you consume. Fruits in general give you great dietary fibers and banana's give you potassium, apricots, watermelon, mango's and cantaloupes give you Vitamin A. If you are looking for a Vitamin C in a pill forget about and just eat some citric fruits which are full of Vitamin C like oranges, melons, kiwi and berries.

There are so many good vitamins in fruit that our body need daily to function in the proper manner. Dried fruits like prume's, raisins, and dates give our body iron. Two serving of fruit each day is what's required on the food pyramid chart and that choice is healthy for our body, but even more wouldn't harm us at all our bodies could never consume to much fruit. When you buy fruit It is always best to buy fresh fruits instead of canned or frozen fruits, because handling of these canned and frozen fruits some of the nutrients has been lost. Remember that people are aware that fruit can be costly, but it is in your best interest to eat fruits daily so if canned fruits is all you can afford then know that some type fruit is much better than no fruit at all.
