Why We Should Listen to Our Bodies

They Know Better!

Yes they do! Our bodies are something to be astonished about, can you imagine that we are walking talking factories, with little workers (such as cells) and big machines (such as the immune system). Our bodies are always aware of things that we seem to miss out on. The body runs itself so smoothly that we never realizes a thing, it makes everything so convenient for us. So why is it that when it signals to us that something is wrong we are never responsive in a timely manner? Why do we always wait and wait till "it goes away."

It is not strange for humans to overlook things, we run around like crazy trying to finish our external work but we never take the time to understand that there is work going on inside of us. That we should do our best to keep that work going smoothly or else no work will ever get done.
Here is a scary thought, Lets say that your body is giving you a sign that something is wrong - like it did to me in 2002. I had reacquiring pain, which I thought was stomach pain. After months of neglecting and must I mention pain! One evening after a dinner party I began to throw up, everything I had ate, in my tub (not a very pretty sight). There I was laying on the bathroom floor crying, not knowing why I was hurting so much. When I finally got to the emergency room I was diagnosed with an appendicitis. I had to get an operation done immediately, or else my appendix could have ruptured in side of me - which distributes poison in side the body( could cause death) .
The doctor told me that this problem should have been taken care of earlier, "What if you were in traffic and your appendix ruptured - you could have died!

Back to that scary thought, imagine your body telling you something is wrong, yet you keep putting it off because you might think "I probably ate something wrong" or "may be it is gas."
While you go about your every day life, this problem inside of you is getting stronger by the minute ( like a virus spreading in a computer). When finally you get it checked, you find you have something fatal, which could have been avoided if addressed earlier.
This thought is not to scare the reader, but to let him or her know that anything is possible as it was with me in 2002.

In my case I could have prevented all that pain, stress and worry if I was more proactive about my health, If I had not ignored my body. The pain I was experiencing was my body signaling me to do something about a problem in side of me.

Here is a tip, figure out your body is going out of its way and telling you something, chances are it is something important.

Here are three steps on being healthier:

-Understand your body and what it is saying to you

-Admit that you have a problem

-Start right away on fixing the problem and stick to it till it is fixed!
