Why Do We Need to Pray?

When you pray, you are communicating with the God. The Holy God sincerely wants to hear and answer your prayers. Prayer does indeed change things. The Lord our God must be pleased as He sees each of you labor for Him in Prayer. The practice of prayer is vitally important for spiritual growth. Prayer for families is the very key foundation that keeps a family together. The power of prayer is the power that comes to us when we realize that God can be our point of reference in the midst of all the confusions of our daily lives. Prayer heals physical and emotional hurts.

Pray continually; 1 Thessalonians 5:1

Pray that we may be delivered from wicked and evil men, for not everyone has faith. 2 Thessalonians 3:2

Pray in the Holy Spirit. Jude 1:20

Pray to God that you will not do anything wrong. Not that people will see that we have stood the test but that you will do what is right even though we may seem to have failed. Corinthians 13:7

Pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being. Ephesians 3:16

Pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints. Ephesians 6:18

Pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God Colossians 1:10

When you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. Matthew 6:6

When you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Matthew 6:7

Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath. Matthew 24:20

Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the body is weak Matthew 26:41

Pray for those who persecute you Matthew 5:44

When you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. Matthew 6:5

If anyone sees his brother commit a sin that does not lead to death, he should pray and God will give him life. I refer to those whose sin does not lead to death. There is a sin that leads to death. I am not saying that he should pray about that. 1 John 5:16
