"American Horror Story" has taken the world by storm with its incredible cast and twisted storylines! It might seem like the Harmon family's time in the murder house should reach an end very soon, but FX has already picked it up for a second season. This means that there is plenty more weirdness to come, and probably many more surprises too! Here are four reasons we're glad "American Horror Story" will be returning to our screens for Season 2.
There is much more to learn about the house
So far in Season 1, we have already learned lots of things about the murder house - namely that many, many people were killed there. The ways in which they died were varying degrees of gruesome, but every single death had a story behind it. What is unclear, is why the house holds so much power, and why so many bad things happen there. Every great mystery show has an amazing backstory waiting to be revealed. There is plenty more we need to know about the Harmons' house, and perhaps Season 2 will reveal the answers.
We need to see character development
Because of the sheer number of characters in the show, there hasn't been much room for each one to grow. Backstory has shown how most of the characters ended up in the house, but there hasn't been enough time for them all to progress. So far Vivien Harmon (Connie Britton), Ben Harmon (Dylan McDermott) and Tate Langdon (Evan Peters) have been through the most changes, but there are a lot of other characters we need to find out more about.
It is so wonderfully weird
Every now and again, a TV show comes along that is so crazy, you have to keep watching! "American Horror Story" is so full of strange, and sometimes unrealistic happenings, that it keeps viewers coming back for more. It allows fans to let their imaginations run wild, but still has enough realism that people can believe in it. This kind of show is rare, and knowing that there is more to come is definitely a good thing.
The potential for more brilliant guest stars
The amount of talent among the cast is phenomenal. Not only are the main characters played by excellent actors and actresses, there have also been some great guest appearances. So far we have seen Sarah Paulson as Billie Dean Howard, Zachary Quinto as Chad, and the stunning Mena Suvari as Elizabeth Short. With such a buzz around the show, it's likely that more famous faces will be eager to get a piece of the "American Horror Story" action!
