Why Do Women Chase After and Sometimes Keep the "Bad Boys"

Why do we chase after and sometimes keep the "bad boy". Is it because of how he looks in his tight jeans? The desire we feel for those extra muscles? The way he ignores the everyday rules we have to follow? The desire to change him? What could it be that makes a delinquent so superior in the eyes of the average female as apposed to any other boy or man?

We've all had our little crush on the "bad boys" in school, but eventually we all come to our senses. But not all women do... We've all heard it... "Why does she stay?" "Why can't she leave him?" "Why would a nice girl like her ever hook up with a boy like him anyway?"

A "bad boy" can grow up to be an even worse man, so why are we attracted to them? The extra aggression should be warning enough that they are nothing but trouble. They may treat you nice one minute and like hell the next, why do women put up with that.

Tight jeans, extra muscles, slick hairstyles, even the everyday breaking of a few minor rules are all things that get our hormone driven libidos to stand at attention, but thats just not enough of an answer. Hormones should not be enough. Even the thought that you might change him into the perfect man is not enough. All of these are conscious attractants, and while the hormone drive is also somewhat subconscious as well, it is not the answer.

The answer may lay deep in our subconscious minds, hooked into our primitive genetics. The answer may be simple thing..... We want the future father of our offspring, our provider to be stronger than the others.

A more aggressive hunter in the primitive mind is a good provider. To the primitive mind this man's aggression should protect you and your young, while providing you with food. But, in the modern world the primitive is not a good function in most cases. We are no longer hunter-gatherers who fight for every scrap of food and breath we take. To provide for us today, our men must be good at their chosen job. They must follow along with the rules, at least to some degree.

The aggression in the "bad boys" that turn into worse men should not be passed on in our gene pool. These men that appeal to the primitive us, That feed of their own primitive nature instead of evolving should be redirected. Their aggression should be channeled elsewhere when discovered.

While not all cases involving the behaviors of these "worse men"Are from the original "bad boys" nor are they always from their primitive mind, in fact in several cases this behavior in the male is caused by childish behavior, like a toddler lashing out out of fear, anger or other high emotion. The behavior of the female in these cases seems more primitive minded.... If asked, "Why don't you leave him?" The replies are usually along the lines of how will they survive on their own, who will take care of them and their children, etc.... All such replies are from the primitive mind and lead us to believe that there are a few genes that have not evolved as the rest of us have.

So when you feel that warm blush over the "bad boy", or your daughter comes home from school with just such a crush, remember... we may be evolving, but there are still places in the mind that are primitive.
