The answer may be as simple as fit and consistency of pleasure. When shopping for clothes, or, God forbid, bathing suits a woman is faced with the dilemma of selecting a size that may or may not fit her. She then schleps the chosen articles of clothing in the size she believes will fit her to the dressing room. In that overly lighted cubicle of horror the woman disrobes and tries on her selected clothing. Now she knows in her head that every style of clothing, and every body type are different. What may look gorgeous on one body type may make another look like an overstuffed sausage. Knowing that and confronting it in a dressing room mirror are two different things, however. It can be enough to send the most confident of women home in a blue funk.
Shoes, on the other hand, always fit. Once you know your shoe size and the correct width that your foot requires there really is very little change that occurs in your feet. Monthly bloating usually doesn't happen in your toes. Aside from personal comfort shoes never fail to satisfy. And really when the shoe is great does comfort really have anything to do with buying them?
It doesn't end there. Not only do shoes always fit, but also they have the ability to change how the rest of your outfit looks. A pair of stiletto heels can add pizzazz to the most casual pair of jeans and top. They change your posture, make your legs look fashionably long, and let's not even get into what they do for your derriere. An adorable pair of flats can make anyone feel tiny and dainty. Just the delicate size and style of a pair of satin slippers will make any woman feel like a princess. Shoes are indeed works of art for the feet. The top designers of shoes have gone to the extreme of creating unique and beautiful footwear for their shoe hungry fans. Tinkering with heel shape and size they have consistently created a new and inventive look. That is why women will pay hundreds of dollars for a shoe created by one of these geniuses of shoes. Shoe shoppers are not crazy obsessed collectors of useless apparel. They are the smartest of all the fashion conscious shoppers.
