Widgets for MySpace and More

When I first saw these on others peoples MySpace pages I really didn't think about it much. Now that I know what they are, I have looked for what I'd like to use on my page and want to offer suggestions of sites to get widgets that are already made. My problem is that I am not very internet savvy yet and it is all a learning experience for me. I understand you can make you own and have seen many articles regarding that, however, i still don't know that much about it. So for fun only I can tell you where to find certain ones that you just copy and paste the code in your MySpace profile.

Most importantly, if you have a MySpace page and are an AC content producer, you would certainly want to get the widget available here to paste on your page. What you will get is a widget with your most recent articles listed for your MySpace friends to easily link right to a specific article. It is really easy to do so why not do it now.

If you're a really big fan of sports, then check out ESPN's site for widgets. Here you can get widgets for college and pro football with choices of top stories, rankings, polls and stats. The same goes for college and pro basketball, baseball, NASCAR and hockey. This site couldn't be easier to use either. Just choose the widget you want and hit the "add now" button then choose the service you want to add it to, i.e., MySpace, etc. If you can't find your sports widget here, then look for something else.

If you'd like to have a daily updated horoscope, then check here because this is idiot proof. Simply type in your name and date of birth and copy the code. Keep in mind all these widgets are also available for other sites such as facebook and hi5 among others. This horoscope even has a compatibility test so your friends can interact with you, unless they find out that they are completely not compatible with you.

Now, how many of you remember playing with an Etch-A-Sketch? Personally, I can barely draw a straight line with these things, but if you're any good, then go here, use your arrow keys to draw your picture then copy and paste code in your profile. Great way to show your friends what a fabulous or lousy artist you really are. Also from pyzam.com is a fun little widget of tic-tac-toe. If you want to have a little fun with your friends, go here to get code for this frightening game and wait for your friends to comment you on this one. You can search around this area for other fun widgets also.

Just sign up and then enter your question and answer choices, then choose your display options and date range for this poll. You can have new polls up whenever you want. Once you're done you can export your poll to your MySpace page.

Would you like to have a custom clock on your page? Try here for an easy to use clock generator. Simply customize your clock size and color and then choose your location. Easy and quick and it will update the html code so you can copy and paste on your profile.

These are just a few of the options you can play with to put widgets on your page. Some will take a little extra effort in creating while others are as easy as one, two, three. Keep these in mind when your changing your page to football season among other changes so you will always be up to date. Remember these change on a daily basis so everyday you can have a different joke, comic strip, poll, etc.
