I suppose if that had been the other way around a lawsuit would have sure been underway. But that's just my opinion...on with the rest of the show.
I had agreements and disagreements with both families, and I'll express those tonight. Sure, we all raise our kids and run our household our own way, but I do think there are limits and boundaries to certain things. For example, I believe Neicey and Bill are too strict on their boys.
I mean come on, the 19-year-old can't have any freedom at all, and them keeping track of his every move is just ridiculous! Sure, he's still living under their roof and should abide by the rules, but why so many strict rules. If I were him I would be looking for my own place.
And what's up with Vicky and Jeremy not disciplining their children. Children should be disciplined, because without discipline they end up running wild. Children should not run the household, and they certainly shouldn't talk back to their parents. I've seen children who haven't been disciplined before and they usually end up in trouble later in life.
Maybe my views are different then yours, but I was raised to respect my parents and my elders. And believe me when I done something wrong I was spanked. Not put in "time out", I was spanked. And personally, I still see nothing wrong with a good ole' spanking when it's needed. Let me know your views.
Vicky, well I believe she should make more time with her husband and children. Sure women work now-a-days, but there comes a time when we have to make time for our family and Vicky doesn't seem to be doing this. She should be thankful for what she has.
And here's another one. All you men may disagree with me but here it goes....Bill should get up off the couch and help around the house, not to mention be more of a father then a Sergeant. And here's where you men may disagree. I believe there is nothing at all wrong with a man helping around the house every once in a while.
After all, women go through a lot of pain to have children, and many sleepless nights taking care of them when their young. We need a break from time-to-time, and a man's helping hand can mean a lot.
When it came time for the wives to change the rules my mouth literally dropped open when Vicky said she was going to "bond and spend time together" with Neicey and Bill's sons. She needed to really think about that one before she said it, because my thought was, "why don't you 'bond' with your own family?"
I didn't agree with Vicky taking away the sports either. Kids should be allowed to be involved in sports if they choose to. If their forced that's a different story, but if they choose to be active in sporting activities then they should participate. It's good for them.
Oh, but what really got me was how Vicky got mad when the boys broke the rules and went to sports anyway. She said, "they broke the rules." What rules did they break? She said during rule change that there would be "no rules" so she asked for that one.
I believe the only rule I didn't agree with when it came to Neicey was the "no TV or video games." Sure Jeremy and Vicky's kids shouldn't spend 24 hours a day watching TV or playing video games, but it shouldn't be cut out completely.
They should at least be given a time limit on how long they watch TV or play video games, but it shouldn't be taken away from them completely. I played video games when I was growing up, and we even sat down together, as a family, every Sunday night to watch Walt Disney.
I was glad to see at the end that both families agreed to keep some of the rules. Neicey and Bill agreed to not keep such a tight leash on their boys, and Vicky finally saw how important it was to spend more time with her family.
That will do it for this week's Wife Swap. Don't be shy, let me know your opinions. We all have different views on things, and it's always nice to hear what others think too.

I, too, was raised in a very disciplined household. As a matter of fact, there were many rules. I agree with you on some points but, on the other hand; there are certain rules that are applicable to certain children that don't necessarily apply to others. I think it depends on the overall nature of the child(ren) involved. Some people need a little more and some a little less.
