Wii Fit

"The Little White Box You Stand On"

The buzz around the Wii Fit has turned from 'what's this?', to 'what isn't it?' Wii Fit gives you the ability to work out, do yoga, play games, and even hula hoop. What game is better than that? Being serious though, I have been playing the Wii Fit for about a week or two and I can say that I did lose some weight. It's hard to imagine and very odd to lose weight and work out on a video game but it's a nice change. The one draw back is that when you think about playing a video game you don't think about the time you'll need to spend after showering, due to your "work out." But with the Wii Fit you need to, so before you think you can play a quick little game, unless you really play one game of ski jumping or something you are looking at a work out.

This will help many gamers out there get off their couches and do something productive. I'll admit I game, but since I received my Wii and bought Wii Fit I haven't touched my 360. You get hooked on Wii Fit, but in a good way. When working out used to be a chore it isn't anymore. The ability to work out in your own home, and at your leisure isn't anything new. The household gym is long known, but working out with a video game console is something new. Many people will feel that they don't want to work out to a video game or that it is "dumb." But I had my doubts as well, if you even are the slightest bit considering purchasing a Wii Fit, I would say go for it.

Happy Wii-Fitting.
