Wii Fit Guide: Where to Find All the Icons in Basic Run on Wii Fit

Tina Twito
Wii Fit Plus came out this week, but that doesn't mean you have to sell your original Wii Fit on E-Bay just yet! If you aren't "upgrading" right now, or are just trying to find all 15 icons like I was, this guide should help.

Finding the icons in Wii Fit's basic run was a good way to keep motivated in my daily workout routine, but some of the icons were tricky to find. I had an especially hard time finding the turtle icon. (I could have sworn I had seen it in a tree.) As the instruction booklet was not helpful, I went online hoping someone else would tell me where it was. No luck. So now that I've found them all, I am sharing all my icon finds with anyone else who might have been struggling to find them.

I have labeled the large dots START and END. The smaller dots in between are 1 through 7, with the central medium sized dot being 4. The run times are approximate, but they have shortened to these times as I have run more.

Short Run (three to five minutes)

Following the person.
Between dot 7 and END (very close to end) there is a MARIO on the left-hand side as you pass through the ring of grey stones.

Follow the light brown dog.

Follow the person till dot 5, when the dog (light brown) runs past, run past the person guiding you and follow the dog.

I didn't see any icons on this run.

Long run (four to six minutes)

Following the person.

Right after dot 1 MARIO is on the hillside to your left. (This one passes by pretty quickly.)

A little after dot 4 MARIO is on the bridge to your right. (Other runner or dog can block it.)

Following the light brown dog.

Right at START a light brown dog runs past, run past the person and follow it.

Just before dot 2 you see MARIO on a tree near the arch (He is faint at first--he sweeps from the right, to ahead
and is on your left as you pass him.)

Just after dot 2 you can spot LUIGI on the fountain to the left (very briefly).

After dot 3, MARIO is on an off-white building slightly to the right.

Right before dot 6, MARIO is on a green roofed house to the left.

Following the white dog.

Follow the person (you will see MARIO on the hillside to the left just before dot 1, before the dog)

Just before dot 2 a white dog runs by. Pass the person and follow it.

At dot 3 there is a STAR on top of the tree straight ahead.

At dot 4 LUIGI is straight ahead on the fountain.

A bit after dot 5 you see LUIGI again briefly, to the right.

Following the dark brown dog.

Follow the person (on the bridge) (You will see Mario on the hillside to the left and MARIO a little after dot 4, on the bridge, to your right before the dog.)

Just after dot 4 a dark brown dog runs by, run past the person and follow it.

This is a nice beach run, but there are no new icons.

Island Lap (7 to 11 minute run)

Following the person.

Just before dot 1, MARIO is on the bridge to your right.

About halfway between dot 5 and 6, MARIO is to the left, right outside the short, "natural" tunnel.

Right before END you can see LUIGI on the fountain to your left.

Following the yellow dog.

Right at START a golden-yellow dog runs past. Run past the person and follow the dog.

Right before dot 2, MARIO is on the green roofed house to the right; he then sweeps by to the left.

About a third of the way between dot 2 and dot 3 GOOMBA (the mushroom with feet and eyes) is on the right at the end of the "natural" tunnel.

About half way between dot 4 and dot 5 MARIO is on a tree trunk to the left.

A little before END, MARIO is on the left-hand side.

Right at END, MARIO is on the tree to your right.

Following the black dog.

Right at START a golden-yellow dog runs past. Run past the person and follow the yellow dog.

Just before dot one a black dog runs past. Run past the yellow dog and follow the black dog.

Right at dot 2, MARIO is on the right hand side as you pass through the ring of grey stones.

About half way between dot 2 and dot 3, MARIO is on the green roofed house to your left.

At dot 3 Goomba on right hand side at end of natural tunnel.

Tiny bit before dot 6 Mario is on tree trunk to left.

Following the white dog.

Right at START a golden-yellow dog runs past. Run past the person and follow the yellow dog.

Just before dot one a black dog runs past. Run past the yellow dog and follow the black dog.

About half way between dot one and dot two a white dog runs past. Run past the black dog and follow the white
dog.

Just around dot 2. MARIO on a tree near the arch (he sweeps from the right, to ahead. and is on your left as you pass him.)

After dot 2, LUIGI is on fountain to your left.

About half way between dot 3 and dot 4, MARIO is on the left-hand side as you pass through the ring of grey
stones.

Just before dot 4, MARIO is on tree trunk to the right (same MARIO as dot 2)

At dot 4, LUIGI is straight ahead on fountain (same as after dot 2).

At dot 6, MARIO is on the green roofed house, passes by on the right.

At dot 7, MARIO is on windmill base to the right.

Following the dark brown dog. (My favorite run.)

Start out following the person.

Just before dot one, MARIO is on the bridge to your right. This is about the same time the dark brown dog
passes. Run past the person and follow the dark brown dog.

About half way between dot 2 and dot 3, the MUSHROOM is on a rock to the left. Goes by quickly.

About half way between dot 5 and dot 6, MARIO is on a pillar in the long "man-made" tunnel.

At the END, the TURTLE is after the short natural tunnel on the beach. You can only see it right after you have finished or when the picture pans back around to it. TRICKY!!!

Following the light brown dog.

Before dot four, (There seems to be a jump towards dot 5 here. May be a glitch.) a light brown dog runs past, run past the dark brown dog and follow the light brown dog.

A nice run, but no additional icons that I found.

If you have any additions or corrections I'd be happy to hear them, and will add them and give you credit.

Thanks for stopping by! Have fun and be fit, but don't overdo it. (Double-checking this is the first time I can honestly say writing has given me sore feet!!)

And now, so other people can hopefully find this information I am going to add some "searches" here. Feel free to ignore them!
