Boxing
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Boxing is a great way to get warmed up. Pick up your nunchuck controller and try to knock your opponent to the ground for 10 seconds. Don't get too cocky, though, or you may end up down for the count yourself!
Pros: Different punches detected by censor
Slo-mo dodge effect
Cons: Hard to throw outside punch
Won't always pick up punches on censor
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tennis
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
One of the more difficult sports in the Wii Sports package, this sport is played exactly like a regular match of tennis. Singles or doubles, take your pick.
Pros: Powerserve
Fronthand and backhand hits detected
Cons: Can't control movement of characters, only swing
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Bowling
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Strike! Nice one! Iin this bowling alley you can play a full 10 frame game of bowling with up to four players at a time! The normal rules of bowling apply, so make sure your ball doesn't end up in the gutter!
Pros: English can be put on ball
Cons: None Really!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Golf
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Drive a golf ball hundreds of yard in either beginner, intermediate, or expert mode. If your local weather makes it impossible to play golf, why not play on the Wii? You can practice putting on a putting green, practice your driving skills, and put your skills to the test on 9 holes. Some of the golf holes are like this:
- A series of islands spaced far apart from each other. You're on one of them. Drive from one island to the next without letting your ball fall off those 50 foot cliffs!
- A long, winding fairway taking you hundreds of feet. You can slowly make your way across, or drive to the flag-bearing peninsula in one shot.
Pros: Very realistic golf courses; very creative
Cons: The wind can get annoying. The sensor isn't very sensitive, so it's hard to make an accurate putt without hitting it too hard or too soft.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Baseball
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Strike one! Strike two! Strike three! You're out! Step up to the plate and knock it outta' the park. Play short, three inning games and try to beat the other team. You can play against each other if you have more than one controller! The sensor is very good about picking up the swing of the "bat." If you go to the main menu, you can even do a homerun derby!
Pros: Multiple types of pitches, sensor very accurate about the swing.
Cons: The wind gets annoying here as well, knocking fair homeruns foul, but nothing comes to mind other than that!
