Wii Sports Resort is a $50 collection of fun and quirky sports games that can be played by anyone from someone who never used a Wii to the more hard-core Wii crowd. The sequel to Wii Sports (which comes free with a system purchase) makes use of the Wii MotionPlus accessory, which provides gamers with a more responsive and accurate motion control experience. Wii MotionPlus is included with Wii Sports Resort.

Some people are probably wondering if the game is really worth the $50 price tag. Considering it includes Wii MotionPlus, there's no reason not to buy it unless you weren't a fan of the original Wii Sports. You're basically paying $30 for a really good game and $20 for Wii MotionPlus. If you are waiting for the price to come down, you'll probably be waiting for a very long time.

Graphics & Audio 13/25

There's nothing new in these departments. I was a little disappointed to find out there were no audio or visual improvements over Wii Sports.

Gameplay 24/25

Wii MotionPlus enhances the gameplay value infinitely over Wii Sports. Not all the games included in Wii Sports Resort are winners, but most are extremely fun and some are even challenging.

Creativity 18/25

Most of the games are similar to the original, but Nintendo has thrown in enough changes for me to consider this a "creative game".

Fun Factor 25/25

This game is the most fun you will have since Wii Sports came out. Unfortunately, the Nintendo Wii has a library full of mostly lame games. This is not one of them. Wii Sports Resort is fun on your own and especially fun with friends and family. This game made me remember why I bought the Wii in the first place.

In The End...

Wii Sports Resort isn't the 10/10 game that some sites are claiming, but it is a lot of fun and a must have for any Wii owner. If you are looking for good casual fun, this is where it's at. If you are looking for competitive fun, you'll find some of that here too.

80/100
