Why PS3 Beats Xbox 360
Blu-ray. That's enough to put the PS3 over the Xbox 360, because the PS3 will play Blu-ray movies and the Xbox 360 will not. The cost of an Xbox 360 and a Blu-ray player is far more than if you just bought a PS3 system. Xbox will let you play Netflix movies online whereas the PS3 will not, but hopefully that will change soon.
Red Ring of Death. I have heard far too many stories from people who had an Xbox 360 die on them and get the notorious 'red ring of death' that appears on the front of the console. The PS3, on the other hand, has a much higher reliability rating. Sony makes better stuff than Microsoft.
Xbox Live vs. PlayStation Network. It doesn't cost anything to play online via the PlayStation Network, and the PS3 even includes a wireless adapter built into the system. To play online with Xbox Live, it costs you $50 a year. Either way, you'll still have to deal with the same griefers and trolls who annoy other gamers. At least with the PS3 you won't have to pay for it.
Games. More games are available for the PlayStation system than are for the Xbox 360. Most of the PS2 catalogue is available, but even nowadays almost all the top games (Batman: Arkham Asylum, for example) are released simultaneously for both systems. Xbox has the Halo games and PS3 has the Resistance games and Killzone 2. I'm not saying either system has better games, but the PS3 has more games and can play most of the same stuff you can on an Xbox 360.
Wii vs. PS3 and Xbox 360
The Nintendo Wii gaming system offers a completely different way of playing video games, and you can't really compare it to the PS3 and Xbox 360. Of the games that come out for all three systems, the Wii versions are often very different because of the Wii's motion control system. The title may be the same, but the game is not.
Most Wii games offer a much more family-friendly gaming experience than the sometimes violent and profane games on the PS3 and Xbox 360. Furthermore, you'll find more Wii games that are meant to be played with another person. For the casual gamer looking to get a little exercise, the Wii is a perfect choice. For the hardcore gamer who likes to plant themselves on the couch for hours at a time, they will probably find most of the Wii's game catalogue a little too simple.
I use my Wii mainly for 'games' like the Wii Fit, and I like the workout I get from playing boxing games like the new Punch-Out. When I want to relax and play a shooter or role playing game, it's going to be on the PS3. Unless you are a die-hard fan of the Halo series or the few other exclusive games for the system, I don't really see any reason why you would want to get an Xbox 360 over the PS3.

The 360 actually has the better graphics card, the problem is there is no blu ray. Because of that, the files cannot be developed with more detail like on some ps3 games due to lack of space. Rumor has it though just like with the new xbox being leaked, a spokesmen replied to a question of whether blu ray will be built into the 360. He said that it doesn't have to be built in and can be an add on, so we may see a blu ray add on. Both consoles have their pros and cons. I prefer the xbox because they have more popular games. Although the online costs money, the servers don't crash like on the psn. And I think the PSN Plus is a ripoff because as soon as you stop paying, you lose everything.
the ps3 offers more graphics but it seems to me that they monsly foces on the graphics insted of game play i am a teen and i like the wii better for its game play and less mindless shooting and killing games

people on get ROD because they play it too much and it over heats causing hardware failure i know this because my best friend MODS 360s and has fixed PS3s with there yellow or purple light and Xboxs with there ROD. To avoid ROD just get a fan NOT THE INTERCOOLER it takes more heat to run than to cool. buy a $10 processor fan and attach it to the back and plug it to another power source ROD solved i have done it and Xbox for 3 years no ROD
I have Wii and its really for people that want to play with another person, exercise, or like the mario games. The main reason I got the Wii was for the Wii fit. If that was never made, then I'd go for the ps3 hands down - blu ray, amazing graphics, and top games? sold!
