Wikileaks Supporter "Operation Payback Targets Paypal and Amazon, is Wikileaks Right or Wrong
Anti-piracy Group Operation Payback Hit Paypal with a Denial of Service
Anti-piracy group Operation Payback hit Paypal with a denial of service. The reason for the denial of service attack against Paypal was that they restricted the account used by Wikileaks. The reason for the restriction was a violation of the "Paypal Acceptable Use Policy." However, Paypal has since released the remaining funds to the foundation and saying the account will remain restricted. The next target in this so called "cyberwar" is Amazon.
Is Wikileaks Right or Wrong
Agree or disagree with Wikileaks and its supporters, you have to admit what they are doing is somewhat brave. The American people should know some of the information they have released. American citizens have a right to know whom and what is running this country. In addition, America has the right to know what type of people we have working for us. After all, it is our hard-earned money the government uses to do the things they do.
Yes, there were certain things that should not have been released BUT it is called "Freedom of Speech" and we are All entitled to it, even if we disagree with what is being said.
I agree that the attacks on Paypal, Visa, MasterCard and Amazon have hurt shoppers and people expecting payments. However, Wikileaks supporters feel they are doing the right thing in defending what they stand for which is "freedom of Speech."
Is Wikileaks wrong for leaking information to the American people? It depends on how you look at the situation. If you agree, you have the right to know what is really going on in the world and with the government, and then the answer is no they are not wrong.
However, if you feel American people should give up their "Freedom of Speech" and be in the dark about how our government thinks and what they are doing, then yes, they are wrong.
This whole situation needs to be looked at with an open mind. What are your thoughts and opinions on Wikileaks and its supporters?
