Wild Animal Safari

Casey C
Wild Animal Safari Park is located in beautiful Pine Mountain, Georgia. Created by Ron and Vivian Snider. For their love of animals, Ron and Vivian have traveled the world, viewing over thousands of different animal species. The Snider's enjoyed this so much they wanted to bring all these different animals to one place, on their 500 acres of land so people from around the world could come to one place and view different animals. Who says you have to travel around the world anymore to view all these animals?

The park is home to over 1,500 animals from as far away as, Australia, India, North Pole, Africa, South American, and Europe. These animals are well taken care of. As they can get fed all day long if they wish and run free, as they did in their own habitat. You will enjoy this adventure as animals will walk right up to your vehicle and eat right out of your hand. Although Ron and Vivian would rather you just throw the food out on the ground for the animals to eat for safety reason. If you choose to feed them out of your hands, they just ask that you be careful. Ron and Vivian would also like for you to read all rules, regulations and watch a short video for safety, this is not required, but they would appreciate you doing this to learn safety.

The Wild Animal Safari is home to animals like, Giraffe's, Rhino, Yakatusi, Nilgai, Rhea, Tiger, Buffalo, Black Buck Antelope, Zebra, Lion, Watusi, Alligator, Liger, Bear, North American Elk, American Bison, Baby animals, and many more. There is nothing like being face to face with one of these animals. This is an adventure you will surely never forget.

The Serengeti Adventure is where you will want to start. This is where you will witness many different animals running free. So buy yourself a lot of food to feed these animals cause they love to eat, and get ready for an adventure you will never forget. You can drive through in your own car or rent a zebra van, zebra mini van, or even a guided tour bus, the guided tour bus is seasonal. Driving through on 3 ½ miles of paved road, you will view, touch, and feed animals. Ever touch a Giraffe before? Well here you can, and make sure to get a picture of that and show all your family and friends. They will be sure to want to take this adventure themselves then.

After leaving the Serengeti Adventure, you can head over to the Walk-About. The animals are penned and can be viewed from a walk through setting. The Walk-About has a Petting zoo, Alligator Pit, Tropical Bird Section, Monkey House, and Baby Land USA. Here you can view animals like, Wolves, Ligers, Monkeys, North American Black Bears, Porcupine, Muntjac Deer, Alligators, and many others. Be sure to grab more animal food before entering the Walk-About, as these animals will be waiting to be fed also.

When leaving the Walk-About head to the Safari Café. After feeding all those animals you will be sure to be hungry. The café serves all kinds of foods like, hamburgers, hotdogs, Noble Romans and Tuscanos (pizzas and subs) chicken, and more. Don't feel like dinning in? You can take your meal outside to the picnic table area and enjoy the weather.

Before you leave be sure to stop in at the Gift Shop and grab some memorabilia. You will want to take a part of this adventure home with you, and let the kids grab something to remind them of their favorite animal they saw.
