I really like that the Wild Harvest ingredients are organic. I try to buy organic as often as I can but sometimes my budget doesn't allow me to. I was happy to find the more inexpensively priced Wild Harvest brand available. The soybeans, cane sugar, cocoa and even the vanilla extract are all organic. And they are certified USDA Organic.
The taste is smooth and very creamy and not too rich. It has only a mild soy flavor. And, I didn't notice any after taste. The chocolate flavor is not too light and not too dark. It is somewhere in between, that I think most will enjoy. I enjoy really dark chocolate and have even been known to add cocoa to premade milks. I didn't add any to this batch of chocolate soymilk but the chocolate was on the more milder side, but similar to other chocolate soymilks.
The front of the container says it has 6.25 grams of soy protein but the nutritional info says it has 7 grams of protein. So, I assume they are just rounding up. I was a bit disappointed with the 19 grams of sugar per serving but it is rather comparable to other flavored soymilks; so I can't really complain. But it does have 2 grams of fiber to help digest all that sugar. It is enriched with vitamin A, vitamin D (the vegan version D2,) Vitamin E, Vitamin B12, Zinc and Calcium. It provides 30% of your daily calcium and 50% of your needed B12. Calorie wise it seems a bit high at 140 calories for a 1 cup serving. At that amount it is more of a treat than a drink.
I really enjoy the taste and think it is almost comparable to the popular brand Silk. Next time I am shopping for chocolate soymilk I will definitely consider Wild Harvest Organic Chocolate Soymilk again and I recommend it to anyone looking for a smooth creamy chocolate soy milk.
