This family comedy is about four middle aged men, Doug Madison (Allen) a dentist, Woody Stevens (Travolta) a now poor and divorced man, Bobby Davis (Lawrence) inspiring writer with a possessive wife, and Dudley Frank (Macy) a shy computer programmer, who have decided to recapture the adventure in their now boring, and non existent lives. In return they plan to leave their suburban homes to embark on a journey on their motorcycles for the next week of their lives, with nothing but the open road in front of them and the wind in their hair. Freedom was the goal. Little did they know that this was going to be their biggest journey, from bull slapping and chilly fests to an all out rumble with the local motorcycle gang, Del Fuegos. The journey brings all the guys closer especially when friendship and love is truly tested.
This movie was very well acted, and had some interesting parts. Most of the lead parts were casted wonderfully, and the film had a great feel. The characters were very easy to relate to, and the clash of personalities came together well in this film. The story moved along with ease and there was nothing to try and figure out, it was purely entertainment. However, the film makers repeated the same jokes threw out the movie, while attempting the same angles and views on the same things, making them dull and overused by the end of the film.
This movie has been given an average voting of D on an A - F scale by critics, and given a B from the fans.
