Wild Mediterranean Oregano Oil Fights Germs

Wild oregano has been helping people in the Mediterranean maintain good health for centuries and is called "the joy of the mountains." Oil of oregano has been confirmed in recent studies to have powerful antibiotic, anti-fungal and anti-viral properties.

This "wild" oregano is not the cooking variety found in the spice section of your local grocery store. It is rich in essential oils and highly concentrated, making it very beneficial in small quantities. It is extracted by a method of distillation resulting in a pale amber colored oil with a hot tasting flavor and the pungent odor similar to the garden variety of oregano. Wild Mediterranean Oregano Oil can be purchased at health product stores and Internet health and vitamin sites.

Oregano oil is a natural anesthetic, an antioxidant and has an anti-venom action capable of neutralizing the venom of spiders scorpions, bees, ants, snakes and other organisms.

Oregano oil is also used for: asthma, athlete's foot, candida, bronchitis, colds, flu, muscle pain, parasites, pneumonia, psoriasis, nail fungus, ringworm, sinusitis, and warts. This is only a small selection of the uses of oregano oil which can be used internally and externally.

To open a stuffy nose inhale the oil frequently or place a drop or two of the oil on the skin near the * nose for a more direct effect. For sore throat add a few drops to salt water and gargle several times daily. You can also take two or three drops of the oil under the tongue twice daily.

A safe method for the use of oregano oil for children under the age of seven is to dilute one drop in a teaspoon of vegetable oil and massage it to the soles of their feet. A good method of use for older children and adults is drinking juice with one or two drops of oregano oil added.

A drop or two of oregano oil added to liquid soap will help your family keep down infections and it can be added to water in a sprayer bottle to kill bacteria and viruses in the air. You can place a few drops of the oil on a sponge or cloth to clean and sanitize the kitchen and bathrooms of your home.

If you are subject to allergies to any herbs or spices you should consult your doctor before using Wild Mediterranean Oregano Oil or any herbal products.

*Warning: Due to the hot sensation properties of oregano oil do not apply directly to the nose, ears, eyes and mucous membranes or genital regions of the body.
