Wild Rice and Sausage Casserole

Ingredients

1-6 oz. package of Uncle Ben's long grain and wild rice, substituting chicken broth for water when preparing

1 lb. Owens regular bulk pork sausage

1-10 ¾oz. can of cream of mushroom soup

1 cup chopped fresh mushroom

½ cup each of chopped red and green bell peppers

1 medium chopped onion

½ cup shredded cheddar cheese

½ cup chicken broth

¼ cup minced celery

1 teaspoon parsley flakes

½ teaspoon ground pepper

Directions

1. Cook rice according to package directions, substituting chicken broth for water. Set aside.

2. Brown sausage in skillet, stirring to crumble. Drain well.

3. Combine cooked rice, sausage and remaining ingredients in large bowl. Mix well.

4. Spoon into a lightly greased 2 quart casserole dish.

5. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
