Game 1: Washington Redskins versus Seattle Seahawks
The Washington Redskins are one of the hottest teams in the NFL right now. After the tragic death of Sean Taylor, the Redskins have rallied as a team around the resurgence of Todd Collins (quarterback). Seattle has struggled with their running attack this year and have relied heavily on the arm of Matt Hasselback. Look for the Washington Redskin defense to dominate the struggling Seahawk offense.
My Prediction: Washington Redskins: 27 Seattle Seahawks: 13
Game 2: Jacksonville Jaguars versus Pittsburgh Steelers
This game is a rematch of a couple weeks ago. In their previous meeting the Jacksonville Jaguars dominated the Pittsburgh Steelers in the trenches and battered them for over 200 yards on the ground. The combination of Fred Taylor and Maurice Jones-Drew proved too much for a stingy Steelers defense that had been really good at stopping the run. In this weekends matchup, I don't think much will change. The Jaguars are a much more physical football team and have a more consistent quarterback who doesn't make mistakes.
My Prediction: Jacksonville Jaguars 28 Pittsburgh Steelers: 14
Game 3: New York Giants versus Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The New York Giants are 7-1 on the road this year and 3-5 at home so it is probably a good thing that they are traveling to Tampa this week. The Giants will beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this week, but will not make it any farther in the playoffs.
My Prediction: New York Giants: 31 Tampa Bay Buccaneers: 17
Game 4: Tennessee Titans versus San Diego Chargers
This is another rematch game. A few weeks ago the Tennessee Titans had dominated the San Diego Chargers for three quarters of the game. But a fourth quarter comeback by the San Diego Chargers stole a victory from the Titans. Look for this game to be a physical battle with a low score. Tennessee's offense run by Vince Young just can't score points and their physical defense keeps them in games.
My Prediction: Tennessee Titans: 10 San Diego Chargers: 21
