As Kentucky launched a big win against DREXEL on December 21 at RUPP Arena they took their lead in College Basketball history with win number 2000. This year's team is pretty young but was built up to be bigger than life. The entire state watched on while Head Coach #22 John Calipari entered The Big Blue Nation to take the reins and I must say that the thousands of fans by television and the 23,500 seated have not been disappointed in his recruiting. With a current ranking of #3 in the SEC and a current record of 12-0. The games to date have been nothing short of aw-some as both players and coach work like they have played together for years.
Wildcat's Coach John Calipari was humble during the interviews following win number 2000 as he acknowledged it happened on his watch but was years in the making.
