There is a place in Oregon where sick and injured animals can go to rehabilitate and be released back into the wild. It was started by J. David Siddon in the early 1980s. J. David Siddon left our midst in 1996 when he succumbed to cancer, but before he left, he asked his son, Dave, to take over the Wildlife Images Rehabilitation Center in Oregon.

I wish I lived near an animal rehab center so I could volunteer.
What a good cause in rehabilitating these creatures and for us also to enjoy in their natural habitat.
I used to be a volunteer for Project Wildlife here in San Diego. I was on the small mammal and hummingbird teams. I can't tell you how many people thought I was crazy trying to keep baby mice alive!
