Will the Age of Aquarius Bring a Cure for Diabetes?

The Age of Aquarius is expected to bring many changes for humanity, and one of these great strides is in the field of medicine, which may include a cure for diabetes.

Astrologers and spiritualists have long been looking forward to the Age of Aquarius. Hopefully it hasn't become a drummed out theme like the song after its namesake that appeared on the top hits list of all the radio stations back in the sixties.

Known for "sympathy and understanding," one of the signs that may herald this epoch is a medical research study that was able to erase the signs of diabetes in mice.

The same study traced a correlation between type 1, and type 2 diabetes.

At Toronto hospital, two researchers came upon the use of capsaicin, and its effect on diabetes. Through painstaking effort, they injected the tiny pancreas of mice with this everyday substance that can be found in grocery stores. Of course, it had to be converted into liquid for this experiment.

Capsaicin, which is found in certain varieties of hot peppers, is the substance that Dr. Dosch, and Dr. Salters had a hunch about.

"I couldn't believe it," said Dr. Michael Salter, a pain expert at the Hospital for Sick Children and one of the research scientists. "Mice with diabetes suddenly didn't have diabetes any more."

The Aquarian atmosphere realized information shared between Canadian doctors and the Calgary and the Jackson laboratories, both in Maine. Here is where the researchers found information about neuropeptides, a very important clue to the proper functioning of the pancreas. The two doctors were very excited with the potential of a cure for diabetes, which seems to have spread like a wildfire epidemic of our times.

In lay terms, the inflammation cleared up, and as per the appearance of this article at National Post (see resources box,) they had observed post treatment improvement remaining up to four months later.

Little more is known about the status of the research at this point. But it is advised to stay hopeful about a cure for diabetes, as it's the promise of the Age of Aquarius.
