Will Ali Fedotowsky Be the Season 6 'Bachelorette'?

Ali May Be the Next 'Bachelorette'

We may not have seen the last of Ali Fedotowsky, the contestant who broke things off with Jake Pavelka and the TV series The Bachelor because she had to return to work. Fedotowsky appeared on The EllenDeGeneres Show yesterday and did nothing to dispel the rumors that she could indeed be the next Bachelorette.

During her appearance on the February 16th episode of Ellen, Fedotowsky told DeGeneres she would "think about it" if ABC came calling.

But why, after leaving the supposed man of her dreams on The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love, would Ali now forgo her career to do another TV show? Fedotowsky didn't elaborate on the career part, but confirmed that it would be "so nice" and that she would be "flattered" if she were asked to be the next Bachelorette. She even jokingly asked Ellen is she would come help her pick out the guys.

Fedotowsky acted surprised that Jake Pavelka let her go so easily, telling Ellen that she naively thought if he loved her he would fly to come get her because "he's a pilot". She was apparently unaware that Pavelka's connection with the remaining women on the show - Gia, Tenley and Vienna- were as strong as his connection with her.

Many Bachelor fans were confused as to why Fedotowsky had to return to work in the middle of filming of The Bachelor in the first place. Shouldn't that all have been worked out ahead of time, before she signed on to do the show? Fedotowsky cleared the confusion up on that too, explaining that she hadn't read her leave of absence paperwork correctly (apparently she hadn't been with her current employer- rumored to be Facebook- long enough to qualify for a personal leave after she used up all of her vacation time).

Internet rumors are rampant that Ali will be the next Bachelorette, which is scheduled to begin shooting this spring. Based on past history, ABC will likely not announce the name of the new Bachelorette until the After the Final Rose show at the end of the current season of The Bachelor.

In the meantime, you can catch Ali and all of the girls Jake let get away on Monday night's Women Tell All episode on ABC.

Ali would make a great bachelorette!! She's smart, beautiful, down to earth and hard working. Although I would have liked to see her with jake:(

I'd like to see Gia, she is a pure heart and sweet, Ali is a turn off. griping, nasty, and disloyal.

I hate to say it but I like this show!

I'm guessing she will be the next one.

We need to be able to root for our Bachelorette to find true love, and I don't think there's many people left who would be rooting for Ali. During the Bachelor, she showed herself to be nasty and mean-spirited. Those are not the qualities we want for our next Bachelorette.

Ugh, I hope not! I really don't like her!! I would absolutely not watch if she is the next Bachelorette!
