Throwing rice at a wedding is a thing of the past. Since it can be so messy and requires cleanup, most churches are not too appreciative of rice. Many couples are now having their guests blow bubbles as they leave the wedding, whether it is outdoors or indoors. Bubbles don't need to be cleaned up after the wedding and they look beautiful in pictures.
If you are thinking about using bubbles, one of the things you may not be considering is whether they stain clothing. Here's what you should know about how bubbles may affect your wedding dress.
Do Bubbles Cause Wedding Dress Stains?
Contrary to popular belief, bubbles can cause stains. This is due to the high concentration of soap in bubbles. However, it's important to keep in mind that not every type of bubbles causes staining. This is why it's best to experiment with different types of bubbles before the wedding day.
The Knot recommends going outside in clothing preferably close to the color of your dress and testing various types of bubbles to see if they leave stains. Remember you're not the only one whose dress may get ruined, however. You may also want to try blowing bubbles on clothing that is close in color to what your bridesmaids will be wearing.
It can also be ideal to test the bubbles out on the same type of material as your wedding gown and the bridesmaid dresses. Although a certain type of bubbles might not stain cotton, they might stain silk or taffeta. If there are multiple materials used in your wedding dress, consider testing the bubbles on this material as well. Many bridal shops will be willing to sell sample material.
Are There Stainless Bubbles?
If you want a stain-free wedding dress, you're probably looking for stainless wedding bubbles. The good news is that there are products on the market which don't lead to staining. Be sure to read labels when purchasing bubbles to test out. Craft stores generally offer non-staining bubbles. Most bridal bubbles make stainless claims, but it's ideal to test them out before your wedding day to make sure.
Zubbles are a type of bubble that you can purchase online. These are colored bubbles which do not lead to staining. The bubbles are currently available in Presto Pink and Blazing Blue. They can look beautiful in wedding photos, especially if you are thinking about using blue or pink for your wedding colors.
If you're planning to have bubbles at your wedding, the most important thing to keep in mind is that there is a risk of stains. The best thing you can do is test out various brands on colors and materials to make sure your dress will not be at risk of stains.

Post a CommentI hadn't thought about the problem bubbles could create at a wedding. This is a creative subject! It's certainly important to consider this issue if you are planning to have bubbles at your wedding. You wouldn't want to have to deal with stained clothing.
