Will Charlie Sheen Transform After Jail?

Rehabiliation or Simply a Break from Acting?

Charlie Sheen will serve 30 days in jail, as reported at TMZ. The Two and a Half Men co-star will plead no contest to misdemeanor assault.

According to TMZ, Charlie Sheen selected jail time because his other choice - probation - would be too risky

Those who have followed the life and times of Charlie Sheen will agree that spending 30 days in jail, after which there will be no probation, is a better choice than straight probation. If you look "bad boy" up in the dictionary, Charlie Sheen's face could be there. The star has a long history of visiting prostitutes although married. He has a history of domestic violence. He's got a history of drug and alcohol abuse. Charlie Sheen is a phenomenal actor who just can't seem to get his life straightened out. His recent marriage to Brooke Mueller is over.

Charlie Sheen will spend 30 days in jail, but might spend as few as 17, and then no probation. However, will it change anything?

Charlie Sheen may spend his 17 to 30 days in jail contemplating how he would want to live a brand new life, or it may just be a break from his acting schedule, after which he returns to business as usual. Sheen has had serious problems with his life at least since the early 90s. Is it unrealistic to expect the 44-year-old actor to come out of jail ready to turn his life around, especially if Charlie Sheen is happy with the "bad boy" nickname?

I wonder how much he is really acting

It's possible he might change, but I doubt it. Unless he has a Robert Downey, Jr. moment. Robert Downey, Jr. had a serious drug problem. Charlie Sheen has a serious ego problem. Big difference. Drug problems are easier to cure I think.
