Will CM Punk Return to the WWE?

CM Punk made good on his word when he won the WWE Championship on July 17th, at Money In The Bank. July 17 ^th also happened to be the final day of Punk's contract with the WWE. Therefore, Punk was not on last nights episode of Monday night Raw. Forcing Vince McMahon to crown a new WWE Champion as soon as possible. Mr. McMahon wasted no time in announcing an Eight Man WWE Championship Tournament.

The WWE Championship Tournament featured The Miz, Alex Riley, R-Truth, Jack Swagger, Kofi Kingston, Alberto Del Rio, Rey Mysterio, and Dolph Ziggler. The Miz and Rey Mysterio made it to the finals. The Miz made it to the finals by defeating Alex Riley and Kofi Kingston. Mysterio made it to the finals by defeating Dolph Ziggler and R-Truth. After defeating R-Truth, Mysterio was ready to take on The Miz. Instead of The Miz coming down to the ring it was Vince McMahon. Mr. McMahon informed Mysterio that the final match of the WWE Championship Tournament had been postponed until next weeks episode of Raw. Since the Tournament has been postponed it begs the question "Will CM Punk return to Raw next week?".

It is possible that CM Punk would return on next weeks Raw. Two nights ago at Money In The Bank, CM Punk did the impossible and left the company with the WWE Championship. The WWE Universe knew that Punk would be leaving the WWE after Money In The Bank, but they did not know he would be leaving with the WWE Championship. Allowing Punk to leave with the WWE Championship and failing to crown a new Champion one night later seems a little suspicious.

Failing to crown a new Champion was not the only surprise of the night. HHH returned to inform Mr. McMahon that he was relieved of his duties. Now that Mr. McMahon has been replaced by HHH it makes it more likely that Punk will return. If Punk returns he can claim he is willing to give the WWE another chance now that Mr. McMahon has been fired.
