Will Court Make Mel Gibson Pay $500 K to Oksana?

Face it when it come to matter of the heart and money, people can be mean and greedy. When you add in the factor that one of the participants is rich and famous, the court case can become dirtier. Case in point the court case involving Mel Gibson and ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva.

By now, everyone has heard about the horrible incident that took place between them. According to an article at tmz.com, Oksana says that during this incident her 14 year old son, Alexander (fathered by another actor, Timothy Dalton) known as Sasha, was traumatized. She said he witnessed Mel's explosive act that resulted in two of her teeth being knocked out from her mouth. She also states that during the attack, Mel called Alexander abusive names. Alexander became scared and then hid under a bed. Mel states he only slapped her and doesn't state that anything happened between the child and him.

Oksana also claims that another time Mel became violent and a table landed on top of Alexander. Mel's representatives deny that this ever happen.

Because of her claim, Oksana is asking the court to pay her $500 K.

All of this is being heard, in family court while they fight for custody of their child Lucia.

According to the article, both parties have met with both a family judge and a mediator. Yet, they are from being close to a settlement.

Will they ever come to a joint agreement?

It seems unlikely.

What does seem likely is that all decisions will have to be made by the courts.
