Will Dallas Cowboys' Quarterback Tony Romo Win a Super Bowl?

Romo Has One Playoff Win, but He is Destined for an NFL Superbowl Ring?

The Colts' Peyton Manning and Saints' Drew Brees may be two of the best quarterbacks in the NFL, but the NFL roster is filled with plenty of other all-star quarterbacks that deserve a chance at the Super Bowl. Among Eli Manning, Carson Palmer, Tom Brady and Phillip Rivers, no one may deserve a Super Bowl shot more than the Dallas Cowboys' quarterback Tony Romo. Romo has proven game after game why he is one of the best quarterbacks in the league and not just a former flame of Jessica Simpson or Carrie Underwood. In the next five years, Tony Romo will win a Superbowl in the NFL and here is why.

Curses: One of the main things that held Romo back in the past were curses against him and the Cowboys franchise. The infamous Cowboys' December curse limited their playoff appearances and severely hindered their momentium heading into the crucial Wildcard and Playoff weekends. This changed in the 2009 season when Romo led the Cowboys team to defeat the undefeated New Orleans Saints other victories over the Redskins and Eagles. Romo and the Cowboys need to concentrate on overcoming their rivals, the New York Giants to have an even better record in future seasons.

Playoff games have also been a big struggle for Romo. During the 2006 Playoffs he was the place-kicker and botched an easy game-tying field goal attempt. Romo was tackled just feet away from the end-zone and the season was over. A year later, Dallas was on the verge of beating the New York Giants until Tony Romo threw a red-zone interception and the Giants went on to win the 2007 Super Bowl.

This made it seem like Romo and the Cowboys could not win during crucial times, but Romo overcame this huge hurdle in the 2009-2010 season with his first NFL playoff victory over the Philadelphia Eagles. The Cowboys lost to the Vikings a week later, but that win over the Eagles was one step closer for Romo's eventual Super Bowl win.

Wide Receivers: Tierell Owens was too controversial for the Cowboys and he just did not click with Tony Romo. With Roy Williams taking a leadership role on the team, it seemed like a new headlining wide receiver was born, and one was, but his name was Miles Austin. Austin joined the team in 2006 and after being a kick returner, he got to start a game in 2009 for the injured Williams.

Romo and Austin's energy and chemistry instantly clicked as the two broke several Cowboy records. This combination proved successful in multiple games and Austin has quickly become one of the NFL's top receivers. More games and experience for these two players and other players like Whitten will lead them to a Super Bowl victory.

Less public pressure from high-profile relationships like Carrie Underwood and Jessica Simpson will lead to more in-game concentration and less time on the pages of "US Weekly." When Tony Romo is playing his best, he is nearly unstoppable and has proven so in many games.

With more pass protection and high yardage plays to Miles Austin, Tony Romo is destined to win one, if not a whole handful of Super Bowl rings. The Cowboys are a young team and as their all-star line-up only improves, so will Romo's super Bowl appearances and legacy as quarterback.
