Over the past couple of weeks, Robert Burner has been thinking about taking the job of Birmingham's city manager. The change would be big for the community of Ferndale and would mean finding his replacement. While there are three other finalists, Burner is enthusiastic and confident in his chances of getting the upgrade.
His pay rate is quite an upgrade as is the stability of the city. While we are not sure if the pay is the major motivator in the decision to switch, much of the Ferndale community is awaiting the answer. The decision won't be made until Dec. 12, and he is set for a interview and tour Dec. 10.
