Will Hill Hits the "Century" Mark

Saint Peters Prep was Just to Much for the Camden Catholic Irish: (59-21)

This season alone has been one electrifying moment after another when it comes to, Will Hill. He sparked another 4 TD performance Saturday morning in front of a national audience. People came from all over just to catch a glimpse of Will Hill. The Sports Illustrated was in town to watch "Will Hill." The excitement of "Will Hill brought a pack crowd to the stadium. The mystique in the air as you as Camden Catholic fighting Irish run out on to the field was "Upset," and boy did they have that feeling. It started with the crowd fighting over where to sit, and then it came down to the crowd yelling who can tackle. The Marauders took the ball first and immediately the NJ state officials took over the game.

They placed out 10 straight penalties on the first two drives alone, which was Preps first drive and Camden Catholics first drive. Camden Catholic was no walk in the park in the beginning because they forced an interception on Will in the end zone after the Marauders completed a pair of 4th down plays, on a penalty ridden drive. That is when Korey Alston (#12 Junior RB from Camden): decided to play, and he played hard. He led the fighting Irish on a long drive into the end zone. After the score; "Coach Brown," decided to practice the Devin Hester rule on Will Hill. They would line up and see where he was and have the opposite guy kick it. Well, after three times and Prep playing that mind game of "Kick it Again," they kicked it to Oliver. They stopped Oliver and Prep went on one more drive that leads to 3 more penalties. This time Will Hill helped drive them through that and place a score on the board. Prep 7 Irish 7.

It was a back and forth game where the penalties keep the Irish in the game for the most part. I say it was the play of Matt Sheard (LB 6'2 235lb Senior from Mt Laurel): He was the player chasing down Will Hill, he was a player stuffing the run in the beginning. Jim Croyle was also getting added pressure on Will Hill in the first half of play.

The game changed after Half-time: because that is when Preps line dominated led by Junior tackle Anthony Blake (#91 6-1 245lb DL) and Junior LB Kenneth Smith (# 8 5'11 220OLB). They became hungry and stuffed the run time after time. If you thought Prep's Defensive LB's was taking all the hits and thunder Matt Sheard was not allowing that too happen, but it just so happens that Prep had to many player makers and this talented linebacker ran out of gas.

What set off the moment and sealed the win for prep is when he took a punt back for a touchdown. The Irish kick the ball to Will Hill, and "Hill allowed it to bounce once. After the ball bounce "Hill" picked it up, while an opposing defender run into Will Hill. His natural instincts were to run the guy over. Will Hill run him over, then shook another and race down the side lines while bouncing defenders of his shoulders for the score. The amazing thing about that score was it marked the Century mark for Will Hill. Yes! That is right "Will Hill broke 100 td's on the career in a Marauder uniform. One Saint Peters Prep Fan said, "This is a once in a lifetime player."

It maybe a once in a lifetime achievement because Will Hill scored what a few in the state of NJ has done: He scored 100 TD's in a career. I have done my homework and but it is so broad to get a final decision. I have reached about 20 historical players and three players jumped up: Cooper Rego, Craig "Iron Head" Heywood, and "Will Hill." These are they players that have been noted for gain 100 TD's in their high school career. These TD's include Passing, Rushing, Kick Off, Punt Returns, and Defensive TD's, and with all of the other players on that list: It is safe to say "Will Hill" stands alone. I have seen some great players, and played with them as well, but I have not ever seen a kid like the one The Florida Gators or Rutgers Scarlet Knights might get.

Let me preface this comment by saying I admire your steadfast vigor in exploring a future in sports journalism. However, if you do not allow the readers to express their opinions regarding your writing style, albeit excruciating, your tenure shall be short-lived.
