Colon is the Odds-On Favorite to Win "The Voice" -- but Will He?

Have you been keeping up with "The Voice," the NBC singing competition that Randy Jackson of "American Idol" called "gimmicky"? If you have, then you know that the show is down to its finale, the Final Four contestants set to face off against each other on Tuesday, June 28, and the winner to be announced on Wednesday, June 29. But is there a frontrunner? Of course there is. The professional oddsmakers at Bodog.com would have it no other way...

His name is Javier Colon. Bodog sees him as the odds-on favorite to win at 1/2 odds. For those who may not have been keeping up with the show, Javier showed up and stunned the audience and the vocal coaches with his smooth and melodic voice, singing Cyndi Lauper's "Time After Time" with such flair, he might as well have rewritten the song. When it came time to choose which team he would sing for, he chose Adam Levine's.

When it was time to pick from the two contestants, Levine didn't leave anything to chance with the public vote and weighted his vote 65-35 in favor of Javier. He need not have worried because Javier took 73 percent of the public vote (only 2 percent less than the highest public vote: Vicci Martinez' 75 percent) and entered the finale with the highest vote total of all the finalists. He is the only male to advance to the finale.

Dia Frampton posts 3/2 odds to win. Dia entered the competition in the second Blind Audition, singing Colbie Caillat's "Bubbly." She chose Blake Shelton to be her vocal coach.

Vicci Martinez, who is a member of coach/judge Cee Lo Green's team, got into the competition via a rendition of Adele's "Rolling In The Deep." She, like Javier made it through in the first Blind Audition. Vicci has the third best chance to win, according to oddsmakers: 3/1.

The finalist with the least chance to win, at least according to the odds, is Beverly McClellan. In fact, she is a longshot, at 10/1 odds. Beverly is a member of Christina Aguilera's team and made it onto "The Voice" through the Erma Franklin/Janis Joplin classic "Piece of My Heart."

The Final Four will perform an original song and sing a duet with their vocal coach on the finale. Viewers will have until 10:00 a.m. on June 29 to vote for their favorite. The winner will be announced later that evening on the live results show.

The winner of "The Voice" receives $100,000 and a recording contract with Universal Republic.

Dear Randy, at least while watching The Voice, I haven't waded through a million "Yo, dudes", or fallen asleep, and I'm thankful for that.
