Will John Cena Turn Heel at Survivor Series?
On the October 24th 2011 episode of Monday Night Raw, John Laurinaitis placed John Cena in a Tag Team Match against The Awesome Truth (The Miz & R-Truth). To make it fair for Cena, Laurinaitis hand picked his partner. Cena's partner turned out to be Zack Ryder. Before the Match could even begin The Awesome Truth attacked Ryder. The attack took Ryder out of the Match forcing Cena to compete in a Two-on-One Handicap Match. Cena was able to pick up the victory by disqualification when R-Truth nailed Cena in the head with a water bottle. Even though Cena was able to pick up the victory he was unable to avoid the beat down from The Awesome Truth. The beat down caused John Laurinaitis to intervene by sending The Awesome Truth backstage. Laurinaitis apologized to Cena and announced he could choose his own tag team partner for a Tag Team Match against The Awesome Truth at Survivor Series. Cena wasted little time asking The Rock (his WrestleMania XXVIII opponent) to be his partner.
On the October 31st 2011 episode of Monday Night Raw, The Rock addressed Cena's question. The Rock informed Cena that he would not be his tag team partner; However, as The Rock had more time to think about it he changed his mind. The Rock changed his mind because Team Bring It hates The Miz and R-Truth. So The Rock agreed to team with Cena for one night to give the people what they want. The Rock wants Cena to witness what he does to The Miz and R-Truth because it's only going to be a taste of what he does to Cena at WrestleMania. Now that The Rock has accepted Cena's offer to be his tag team partner, will Cena turn heel at Survivor Series?
Cena could turn heel for a few reasons. Cena could turn heel by seeking revenge against The Rock. At WrestleMania XXVII, The Rock cost Cena his WWE Championship Match against The Miz. The following night on Raw instead of seeking revenge against The Rock, Cena asked him for a Match. This leaves open the possibility of Cena attacking The Rock during their Tag Team Match against The Awesome Truth. Cena could attack The Rock and walk out on him during their Match, allowing The Awesome Truth to pick up the victory.
Cena's new shirt may also be an indication that he is turning heel. Cena's new shirt states "RISE ABOVE HATE". This could be a clue that Cena needs to rise above the hate he will receive from the fans for turning on The Rock. Cena's new shirt is black. Cena is not known for sporting black shirts, he is known for his colorful shirts. As The Rock would say "looking like a big fat bowl of fruity pebbles".
Cena may no longer look "like a big fat bowl of fruity pebbles" but that does not guarantee a heel turn. Odds are Cena will not turn heel at Survivor Series. Cena may attack The Rock after the Match but it will not be enough to turn him full blown heel. For that reason Cena and The Rock will both go into WrestleMania as tweeners. Cena will have all the Lil Jimmy's cheering for him while The Rock will have Team Bring It chanting his name.

I've been a fan since 2005ish I think, so a heel turn won't make a different for me. I'm always going to be a Cena fan. :) Response to your comment - I don't get why it's Team Orton vs. Team Barrett at Survivor Series when it should be Team Orton vs. Team Rhodes. Just doesn't make sense to me. I hope Rhodes takes it over somehow lol. I was a fan of Ted since 2009, long before the tailgating parties. He has a lot of potential, just a victim of bad booking. I think they should have him and Kidd feud. They keep wrestling each other, and it will get them both air time. I want Ted to be more than a mid-carder, but for now he needs to work his way up due to the booking he's had in the past year.
