Will John McCain Choose Sarah Palin as Running Mate?

Would Sarah Palin Help John McCain on His Road to President

Abbitha
There have been rumors circulating that Senator John McCain might choose conservative republican Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as his running mate. Sarah Palin would be a young Vice President at only 44.

She is known for her hate of government corruption. She is also very strongly pro-life. Sarah Palin is one of the most popular governors with a approval rating of up to 90%.

John McCain has to make a careful choice when he chooses a running mate. This is a very important decision for him. For one reason he will need a strong running mate, to compete with the strong democratic nominee.

Another reason is since John McCain is older many voters will be considering his Vice President choice carefully. The voters will have to be convinced that his Vice President would be a competent President if they needed to be.

With Sarah Palin as John McCain's running mate he will be combating several of the advantages that the democratic party has. One is that there are a lot of people who would want to vote for Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama because it would be a presidential election that would make history. If John McCain's' running partner was Sarah Palin, a vote for them would also be a vote that would be making history.

Another thing that Sarah Palin would bring to the election is charisma. Obama has been known to have a lot of charisma, and in the past voters have always been won over with charm. While McCain has been called a "old coot" by some people, Sarah Palin is the opposite. Palin is young and very charismatic.

While I am still undecided who my vote will go to, I would be more likely to vote for McCain if he was running with Sarah Palin. I would like to see a female in office, either as president or vice president. I think Sarah Palin is a good Governor, and I would feel confident in her role as Vice President or President should anything happen to McCain. I agree with Sarah her stance on abortion, and she seems to be a little more supportive of gay rights then most republicans.

Most republicans that I know did not want to vote for John McCain, I know several were saying that they were planning on voting for Barack Obama instead. I know, depending on whom John McCain chooses as his running mate, it will make the difference if he gets the votes from people like these Republicans. I believe that if John McCain chooses Governor Sarah Palin as his running mate, he will be making a smart decision. I believe that John McCain and Sarah Palin would be a strong ticket, and it might be just what the Republican party needs to make it into the Oval Office.

You know, John defended her but he NEVER SAID that she DOESN'T look like a SLUTTY FLIGHT ATTENDANT, did he? Also, I'm SURE that Bristol WOULD sleep with Alex Rodriguez, as would most of you.

You can now speculate whether the Republican base would make Sarah Palin the candidate in 2012, as they appear to be leaning today.

    Things to consider:
She has never run against numerous Republican campaign machines for president ...all at the same time too.
    - Other candidates will also appeal to the base.
    - Their experience and depth of pertinent knowledge for the job will be apparent.
    - The candidates habitually run directly against the front runners (her).
    - Sarah has poll acknowledged weaknesses that the other campaigns will exploit to the max (and will know to do it with tact).
    - What stories will the desperate campaigns float about her just before the S.Carolina and other primaries? (One of Bill O'Reilly's "pinhead parents of pregnant teens"?)

Way to call it. My how her life has changed since you wrote this one.

Unfortunately, as you now know, Sarah Palin probably was one of the reasons John McCain did not win the election. She might have been popular with what is called the Republican base, but she failed to gain the confidence of most of the voters. She gave evasive answers to questions she didn't know the answers to, didn't perform well in the debate, and was criticized by McCain's own campaign as being a "diva" who's angling to be the Republican nominee in 2012.

Great article . . . I'm a big supporter of Sarah. However I have to say that I think it's ridiculous that some people are voting based on one issue such as that it would make history to elect a black or female president/vice president. People need to open up their eyes and look at the issues.

You are amazing. You called it before any of us had a clue about who the heck Sarah Palin was. Simply amazing.
