Will Obama Achieve Any of His "Changes" in the Next Four Years?

Jerry
Ever since the presidential election started in 2008, people have been concerned about both candidates, as they always are. I won't get into how or why Obama won the presidency in this article, however I would like to point out several points concerning his promises for "change" in America.

Many people believe Obama is going to be a very successful president, however I have strong doubts for this candidate, and here's why.

Obama never really accomplishes anything he starts. It's true that Obama was a senator in the United States house, however, did he ever really accomplish anything while he was a senator? While in the state senate, he rarely voted, and never really accomplished anything. Once he became a US senator, he immediately began to try to take the presidential office, which he promised not to do in his campaign for US senator.

What I truly find funny, is that while running for the US Senator position, Obama did tell several journalists that he was not ready for the position of US President, and that his experience was not suited for such a high level in government.

Now that Obama is president, what do you think will happen? Obama has already signaled to America that he's practically against the electorate and the republican party by electing Rom Emmanuel. He has basically showed the world that along with Nancy Pelosi and Harry Ried, he has no desire to "reach across the aisle."

How can Obama really deliver any of his promises? The country is in debt- Over 14 trillion dollars and constantly rising. We also are in a gigantic trade deficit. Not only that, but we are losing jobs left and right, and the economy is drastically declining. Obama did however, mention that health care will have to wait. This is about the only wise thing I have heard out of his "plans", because it's evident that health care is about impossible to achieve as of right now.

Obama also promises to give tax cuts. And what shall happen now that he takes the office? With the current deficit, and the myriad social programs he's working on putting in place, you can pretty much count tax cuts good as gone.

I think it can be safely agreed that Obama is not going to be able to keep any of the promises he made while running for election, however, he has sort of lied his way right into the presidential office. What more can we expect? Welcome, the new face of America!

Sour grapes, much? No president ever elected keeps all their campaign promises. Give him time to work. He's only been in office a few months.
