Will Paris Hilton Learn Her Lesson in Jail?

Christina Armani
Paris Hilton hasn't learned any lessons from her jail time in 2007, and she isn't going to. Paris Hilton is a celebrity set in her ways, and she's always going to be the same person. Paris most likely didn't gain anything from her jail-time. She was only in prison for forty-five days and didn't even interact with other cell-mates. Forty-five days isn't a significant amount of time, especially if all that time is spent in isolation. She had her own private cell and most likely even had her own food. While she did have some personal time to think about things, chances are that she was just counting the minutes until she was able to get out of there.

Paris Hilton is one of those people who won't ever change. No amount of jail time is going to chance her at all. In fact, she probably spent most of that time missing her clothes, jewelry, and cars. Paris Hilton isn't the first celebrity to spend some time in prison. No celebrity has ever gone to prison and really learned a lesson, and chances are that none of them ever will. When Martha Stewart went to jail, she didn't learn anything and came out the exact same person, and Paris came out the same way too.

Paris loves having fun and partying, and she always will. Paris has never faced any real consequences or penalties in her life, so she isn't going to change. Paris should have got major jail time, but she had a brief stay in a prison cell and was probably treated like royalty there. Paris knows that she has enough money to get herself out of anything, so she has no reason or desire to change. Paris love money, and is always going to have money. The truth of the matter is that people who have money are highly unlikely to change their ways.

The year 2008 is a cucial election year, the media interest needs to be on the candidates and their changes, which need to be addressed. We need to be worrying about which candidate to vote for, not whether or not Paris Hilton is changing. America is a first world country and we have better things to do than obsess over celebrities. Americans have their own lives and much more important things to worry about than famous people who are set in their ways.
