Will the Real Justin Bieber Macy's 4th of July Performance Please Stand Up? (Video)

Which Version is the Authentic One?

Jan Corn
Fans who wanted to watch Justin Bieber on YouTube were temporarily thwarted after hackers reportedly went after his videos and deleted them. Luckily, the problem was fixed within a couple of hours. Some YouTube users were directed to pornographic sites which could have contained malware. As a precaution, they were urged to log out of YouTube and then try to get back in later.

Most recently, Justin Bieber performed live at the Macy's' Fourth of July Fireworks 2010 show. Bieber came through in trademark fashion, reaching out to his fans as he danced across the stage. Amazingly, he managed to be heard above the screams that greeted his appearance and genuinely appeared to be enjoying himself, singing his trademark songs, Baby and Somebody to Love.

As recently as June 5, however, rumors that a video of Bieber's July 4th performance hit the internet. Videos were said to have been taped in advance to make sure the Fourth of July Macy's show came off perfectly and fans of Bieber on Twitter ran with the rumors which seemed to show his 4th of July performance way ahead of schedule

So which video is the real performance? Hopefully, both versions will show up and hackers won't hit YouTube again anytime soon!

Is it this one?

Or is this the live performance of Bieber on July 4th? You be the judge. Which one is authentic?

He performed live on American Idol and was absolutely fine. My daughter is 17, and she refers to him as "he's cute", but that's about it. lol

Justin Beiber attracts such animosity. I'm not sure why, but I supervised a large group of 11 year olds recently and he was the butt of many jokes. I think there was only 1 girl in the entire group that liked him.

It's got to be the first one with the shot of cameras and cell phones taping it in front of the performer. The second one looks too clean and could have had shots of fans spliced (do they use that word any more?) in to make it seem live.

Cute article! Also, is "Baby" the only song this kid sings? That's all I ever see him sing!

Hmmph. Would love to see the answer to this riddle, too. :o) Sometimes pre-taping is necessary, I think, though the pop music world has been abusing that a bit.

I agree with Angela on this one.

I think all performers are guilty of this. Some are just better at it than others.

Excellent article! Don't forget to "add" me! Thanks.
