Will I Get Ripped-off If I Buy Acai Berry Weight Loss Products Online?

All I can say is "Buyer beware", you might get ripped off! This is my second article in this series on the Acai Berry. The first article "Does the Acai Berry Help You Loose Weight?" can be found on my AC content page. The Acai Berry is a fruit from Brazil that has been consumed there for many years but has just found its way to the US market.

If you are planning to buy Acai Berry weight loss products to help you loose weight beware of the seller, especially online, if you don't want to get ripped off. For some reason the websites online featuring Acai Berry weight loss supplements are quite dodgy. I have researched three brands, their online websites and customer reviews. Here is what I found.

Online companies offer you a free 14 day trial of their version of an Acai Berry weight loss supplement. Not getting ripped off so far. You will have to pay the five or six dollars for shipping which is charged to your credit card. All of a sudden it's not so free and it gets worse (These guys have to make their money somehow).

You must read the fine print of these free trial offers! Here is how you get ripped off. The trial period is 14 days. If you contact the company you purchased from and make arrangements to return the Acai Berry weight loss product everything should be fine. However, if you keep the Acai Berry weight loss product for more than 14 days the seller considers the free trial over and your credit card is charged for the whole bottle. According to actual customers in the online forms, the charge is around $60-80 USD. If this happens to you, you have been ripped off.

What's worse is you get ripped off a second time. Because you did not cancel your 14 day free trial period you are instantly enrolled in their monthly Acai Berry purchase program. This means that they will ship you and charge you each month for a new bottle of their Acai Berry weight loss product until you call them and cancel. Unfortunately, from what I have read, these online Acai Berry sellers are hard to reach.

If you are one of those expert free trial people who always remember to call and cancel, the online forums recommend against this. You will probably get ripped off. From the online forums I have read getting the sellers of the Acai Berry weight loss products to pick up their phone can sometimes be difficult if not next to impossible. What a sad way to do business.

Bottom line: If you are going to try an Acai Berry weight loss product, don't buy it from snake oil websites with free trials or you will be ripped off. There are plenty of legitimate health supplement stores online or you can buy Acai Berry supplements from a store near you.
