Will the San Diego Chargers Win Their Next Playoff Game?

Chargers Have to Beat the Colts to Stay in the Running for the Super Bowl

The San Diego Chargers played a magnificent first playoff game on Sunday's January 6th, 2008 against the Tennessee Titans. It was an amazing comeback from behind that the chargers had this win. This is the first time since 1994 that the chargers have stayed in the playoffs so far. However, this is still just one playoff win and the chargers have two more games to see if they can make it to the super bowl. The main question is will they make it to the super bowl?

The next game is against the Indianapolis Colts. One negative that can be seen that may or may not affect the Chargers next playoff game is that it is not at their home stadium but at the Indianapolis RCA Dome. Another negative for the Chargers next playoff game is that The Indianapolis Colts came ahead of the Chargers going into the playoffs. The Colts got a bye their first game. By getting a bye for their first game the Colts did not have to play their first playoff game and automatically received a spot for the second playoff game. By getting a bye the Colts coach and team may have more time to have studied the Chargers game.

However let's now take a look at the upside of the Chargers. The Chargers did win their first playoff game because of the star players that stepped up. The Three main star players that will help the chargers win their second playoff game are Tomlinson, Jackson, and Rivers. Tomlinson has been one of best star players throughout the season. However during the first Charger playoff game Jackson and Rivers really stepped up a notch and thanks to their contributions won their first playoff game and may be two reasons they will win the next playoff game. Jackson during the first playoff game made himself open many times to receive. It was during the second half of the game that Jackson's efforts showed. Rivers efforts also started to show when he made some target passes to Jackson. These three players' efforts should sprout more actions for the next playoff game for the Chargers to win and move into the next playoff game. Chargers may be at a disadvantage by not playing at their home stadium but what we learned from the first playoff game is that we know they can come back and beat the odds to win. So now we just have to wait to find out what is in store for the next Chargers playoff game.
